Black River is an ambient, drone, experimental album recorded between November 2018 - March 2019. Inspired by atmospheric landscapes and imagined realities, the album is a mechanism in which the listener can transport their psyche to undeveloped planes. Through the album's non-narrative structure, listeners are encouraged to create their own interpretation or meaning. This is the third LP released by Rahikka and his first since 2018's Northern Home.
