Cheeky Sneakers celebrates its grand opening in style as Denham Audio bring in a few friends for a masterclass in breakbeat-rooted club music. Opening track Single Minded, featuring the prolific Coco Bryce is a playful take on classic house tropes with a dark, ravey twist while the raw, stripped-out roller So Good, produced with fellow Club Glow affiliate Mani Festo nods back to the original jungle sound.On the flip, another CLub Glow affiliate enters the fray as LMajor assists on the cascading warehouse firecracker Down On Me while rising Japanese producer Kazuho joins to helpclose proceedings on the hyperactive Love Addiction.‘Denham Audio & Friends’ drops Friday 23rd April, via Cheeky Sneakers.

Fedele’s Obscura Music continues to set a precedent for underground electronic music through a wave of carefully curated exploratory releases from hand-picked global talent alongside the Bari-based label boss himself. The latest shining example of Obscura’s ever-expanding avant-garde appeal is also the second chapter of Fedele’s ‘The Awake’ chronicle - following the well-received arrival of Pt. 1 in July 2022.
					
Spike Express’ opens ‘The Awake, Pt. 2’ with an expectedly potent and pumping Indie Dance thunderbolt from the label boss. Boasting pulsating grooves and a plethora of concrete analogue musicality from start to finish, it’s another head-turning frequency-rich stomper from Fedele that keeps you well within a firm grip for the entirety.

‘The Envelope’ matches the searing vibe with another remarkable club-focused cut from the Italian. Undulating drum work and fizzing hat sequences provide a blend of punch and swing whilst gritty lead melodies and atmospheric soundscapes bring the track’s ominously ear-catching persona to life.
		
On the flip, we welcome two remixers to the project to provide undeniably unique and blistering offerings. Electroclash’s founding father, French electronic icon The Hacker pairs with fellow Bari-native Golden Virgo.

There is a certain innocence to be found in Theo Kottis' music. And there is also one hell of a positive vibe flowing through his tracks making listening - and of course dancing - a pure pleasure. It's no wonder that the London based DJ & producer from Edinburgh who runs his own label BEAUTIFUL STRANGERS is playing regularly at places like Berghain’s Panorama Bar, Glasgow’s Sub Club or Edinburgh’s Cab Vol. 

This innocence and positivity can be found in Theo's first outing for LIVE AT ROBERT JOHNSON as well. Let's start with the first track and the first day of the week: »Monday Monday«. Uptempo, uplifting and not upsetting dancers with a mighty bass drum and this typical 90ies organ sound made famous through a lot of house tunes of said decade.

»Slow Times« is indeed a bit slower than »Monday Monday« but a lashing hi-hat, frenetic keyboard stabs and some mighty drum and bass action make up for tempo as Theo truly creates a monster here. We guarantee you definitely WON'T have a slow time on the dancefloor with this one.

»Swing« again features lots of 90ies reminiscences, yet in a very subtle and gentle way. Sure it swings, but though taking a »softer« approach this track succeeds in getting our attention - it's perfect for the early morning hours as well as for warming up a long long night.

With last track »Wisdom« Theo explores a more darker universe. It's heady vibe gives food for thought - and food for feet - because of course you can strut on the floor to »Wisdom« as much as you can while listening to the other tunes. Well done Theo!

Following the recent ‘Strobe Queen’ and ‘Wild Life’ releases, Radio Slave continues to push against the grain. Revisiting his love of lower tempos and long but engaging arrangements, the Rekids boss further explores his love of House and Disco sounds that proliferated his early work on ‘Wake Up’, a grooving and hypnotic NY-inspired cut. 

“The latest in a series, my new single is a kaleidoscopic, back to the future, dub disco song about signing music in the music industry and I guess sometimes we all need to “wake up”. I’ve tried to illustrate this with the photo of a plastic dolphin trash can.” - Radio Slave 

Radio Slave aka Matt Edwards is one of dance music’s undisputed heavyweights. Having made his name as a DJ in the 90s, he went on to become the king of edits, twisting pop, R&B and indie cuts into essential versions that consistently set clubs alight. Since the mid-2000s, Edwards’ originals have helped define modern dance music, tackling techno, house, breakbeat, minimal and disco whilst exploring dub, balearic sounds and ambient across the myriad of other aliases and projects.
