Recorded Set or Podcast is our favorite music stream version, and one of our pursued and desired pursuits is to share what satisfies us the most as devotes of techno 24/7. 

If a track is a fantastic page, an album is a chapter, and create a set is immerse ourselves in a magnificent tale. Even more exceptional and astounding is the autobiographical version. A whole creation developed by a genius mind. Authentic and characteristic.

We released 'The Composers'. The new saga, where our artists dedicate their set purely with their compositions, published or even unreleased.

We are more than thrilled to welcome a sounder host for the premiere, one of the masters in the scene, Jeroen Search. 

An introduction is not necessary, but we seize this debut to pay an affectionate tribute and gratitude for their pieces, courtesy, remark formality, and kindness. 

To note some traces of his impeccable career; named by many as a source of inspiration, Jeroen Search embodies a clear and honest interpretation of techno music. The Dutchman is one of techno’s most infuential producers, but is also a well-kept public secret. Known for his genre defning inimitable sound and energetic performances as well as truly inspirational live-sets, he has always kept himself at the very edge of contemporary techno.

Consistently releasing high quality music since the mid- nineties, Jeroen is always right at the sharp end of the techno-spectrum.
This can be found in his releases on his own imprint Search, as well as on labels such as Axis, Token, KEY vinyl, and Figure, to name a few. While continually evolving, his music always remains true to that typical Search-sound.

In 2021 Jeroen contributed music for a conceptual modern dance project for the famous Pinacoteca Museum in São Paulo, Brasil.
He also took part in a theater show working with a choreographer, dancers and an video artist, performing his liveset combined with modern dance and visuals.

Set the Mood with Maō-no!

For Set the Mood 32, the decks are in the capable hands of Maō-no, the mastermind behind Vinylismo and a resident at AMW.FM. This edition of Set the Mood marks a milestone as the very first vinyl-exclusive set in the series, a detail that adds an extra layer of excitement to the occasion. With its slower transitions and an emphasis on embracing the full body of each track, this mix perfectly captures what an opening set should be.

For Maō-no, a perfect opening set is about creating the right atmosphere. It starts with deep, sci-fi-inspired intros built on strong basslines, slowly unfolding into a dynamic blend of high and low tones. The transitions are purposefully slow, creating a smooth and steady build that pulls the audience into a rich, layered sound. This thoughtful approach sets the perfect tone for the night, drawing listeners into a unique musical journey.

Maō-no (also known as Pablo) is a DJ known for his ability to mix vinyl and digital music into a cohesive story. As the founder of Vinylismo and a key resident at AMW.FM, he brings a unique perspective to his craft. His sets feature carefully chosen tracks, with each vinyl selected to deepen the experience and bring the audience into the heart of the club atmosphere. Combining skill with an adventurous style, Maō-no’s performances leave a lasting impression on every dancefloor he plays.

Jesse Chen is a key figure in Taiwan's electronic music scene, celebrated for his unique fusion of techno and deep house. In 2019, he co-founded Pleasure Always Brings Pain (PABP) with visual designer Sebastian Wu, creating a platform that seamlessly integrates sound and visual artistry. Their vision expanded further in 2024 with the opening of 潮電Bar&RecordStore in Taipei.

潮電Bar&RecordStore, meticulously designed by 2byWu&Chen, centers on the historic Taipower Building on Chaozhou Street. The space has become a cultural hub, championing Taipei's contemporary electronic music scene. It offers a curated selection of vinyl records and an immersive listening environment, serving as a beacon for music lovers and audiophiles alike.

Jesse has played a pivotal role in bringing world-class electronic talents to Taipei. His curated lineup includes Perc, Henning Baer, Emika, Daniela La Luz, Parallx, MCMLXXXV (Herrensauna), Introversion, Gerald VDH, MELATRONIX (Elad Magdasi & Mathias Weber), and legendary Berlin techno/post-punk pioneer Mark Reeder.
Known for blending tracks across eras and genres, Jesse’s performances are rooted in the traditions of techno while introducing rare and unheard sounds to Taipei’s music scene. His innovative, genre-defying sets have garnered widespread acclaim, leading to performances at premier venues and events such as Spectrum Formosa and Pawnshop, as well as international shows in South Korea, Thailand, and Germany.

As a passionate advocate for progressive soundscapes and inclusive dance floors, Jesse continues to push the boundaries of Taiwan's music culture. With 潮電Bar&RecordStore as a cornerstone, he cements his legacy as one of Taiwan's most dynamic and influential DJs.

We met each other on one of our regular Thursday spinning nights and we clicked instantly!

Romens Dawn is a 90’s born Techno artist born and raised in Amsterdam. 
As a limitless creative, he has been on a journey to craft unforgettable experiences in his storytelling and curations over the past few years within the Amsterdam scene. 
With a history of consistently playing in both the club and the rave scene within his hometown in some of the most familiar places such as Radion, Intercell, Levenslang and more, he has built a trackrecord within multiple communities and is pushing the sound of his collective of 5 (@notsomerry.nsm ) since the beginning of 2024 focusing on elevating the people around him and creating a platform where artistic growth is the northstar of their vision. 
With a love for multiple subgenres within techno his sound can be distinguished by multi-layered narratives, hypnotic-loopy sounds and dreamy synths with sets that are always a journey full of surprises.
