this is a medieval-folk song inspired on the game of thrones universe, telling the woeful tale of the rose of highgarden, our queen of hearts - margaery tyrell; i did my best both with the lyrics and the chord progression to paint a vivid image of her course throughout the series, using deliberate references to help the listener immerse themselves in the story-telling, whilst still keeping the language semi-archaic to fit the universe it is set in. enjoy :))

this song is written from the perspective of someone who took their own life, acknowledging the impact it will have on the loved ones and anyone within the circle of said individual; it's a suicide letter - an apology for resorting to such extreme measures - full of self-pity and shame, albeit confessing to themselves and the audience they saw no other escape out of their misery and pain, knowing deep inside they would do it all again if given the chance to go back, as time could not fix what they believed it was always ruined to begin with.
