For the next Far Blue concept, we have the second live set that has been carefully crafted by Project Indigo's Pango. Inspired by an unclear horizon, with the shades of the blue sky and sea blending, it starts out with feelings of some kind of uncertainty, and later moves on towards more comforting, settled harmonies, much like when the mist clears and the mood is restored.

'I isolated myself in my home studio over two weekends, so I could get lost in Far Blue’s theme. While making the set I always pictured the colour gradient of a faded unclear horizon. I liked the mystery and the disorientation of the idea, yet at the same time the component of water also gave me something more tangible that I could relate better to sound. Through the process of making the set, I couldn't help picturing the mental image being sunnier every time, until it pretty much became a nice day at the beach, where the horizon was quite obvious.'

“Going down into the valley, everything fell into place. How the audio bounced around the trees, and the visitors almost blended into the nature around them. Playing this set in the morning, just as the sun was rising above the nearby mountains, and the inhabitants of the valley was waking up, was an absolute treat.”

It's been a very promising couple of years for the Brussels based artist noc:turne. Since we were first introduced to his captivating music on a boat party in north London in the summer of 2022 he has gone on to play gigs across Europe, launch a record label 'Lost In Translation' and most recently release a stunning remix on the highly respected Swiss imprint 'Project Indigo'. We're not quite sure where doing an Oleeva Podcast lands on this scale of notable achievements, but he's done one nonetheless and its quite something. We are excited to share with you the latest perception of Far Blue from an artist who we truly admire. Martinou has built a distinct sound, blending deep, atmospheric textures with intricate rhythms to form a soundscape that is both immersive and emotionally evocative. After having Martinou to play a closing set at Borisov for our Far Blue x Pintai event earlier this year, we could only look forward to the next time we would be able to share his music with you. An artist who truly pushes the boundaries with the tracks he produces and the mixes he puts together. 'ecotone' captures his essence of Far Blue, crafted entirely from his own creations.

"an ecotone is an area where two biological biomes meet and blend into each other. one biome may extend further into the other at one point and the lines can easily blur; where does one biome end and the other start? this is a recording of what i’ve come to uncover from my mind and record whilst in my innermost haven. like the ecotone, the music is always flowing, ever changing."
