“The set was recorded after having got the chance to play with and meet a wonderful group of people over summer. These are some of the tracks that, for me, lie somewhere between inspiring and intimidating. It's time to head back to the desk, taking in all I have learnt and experienced, to begin the next chapter. “

Our twentieth podcast comes from the incredible producer / DJ Soela. We have been huge fans of her mixes and productions for years so it's a real pleasure to be sharing one of her trademark mixes with you. The hour long set is a smooth ride from textural ambient beginnings all the way to liquid drum & bass, with plenty of minimal, dusty house nestled deep within.

Oleeva Podcast Twenty One: Muther - Baby, don't let me down

Oleeva mainstay Daylesford is responsible for the twenty second podcast in the series. His mix is a deeply warm and satisfying affair, with dusty percussion and restrained melodies throughout. Long, linear builds add a lot of tension that give way to a crescendo of joyous yet nostalgic piano chords to complete the mix. We love this one, hope you do too.

It's been a very promising couple of years for the Brussels based artist noc:turne. Since we were first introduced to his captivating music on a boat party in north London in the summer of 2022 he has gone on to play gigs across Europe, launch a record label 'Lost In Translation' and most recently release a stunning remix on the highly respected Swiss imprint 'Project Indigo'. We're not quite sure where doing an Oleeva Podcast lands on this scale of notable achievements, but he's done one nonetheless and its quite something. Jeffrey Sfire’s introduction to the underground dance scene and illegal warehouse parties of Detroit
occurred at the tender age of 15. This escape from suburba led him to some of the city’s most talented
DJs and musicians, who soon exposed him to a new culture of creative riches. Learning by example,
Sfire’s taste and skills as a DJ developed naturally and he soon began playing out at parties, clubs and
sleazy gay afterhours, usually entering covertly through back doors or with a fake ID. A move to Chicago
exposed Sfire to a whole other side of dance music history, including "Italo Disco" and genre jumping dj
styles of the Hotmix 5 radio djs. He spent afternoons digging through record store crates, meeting retired
DJs and developing his musical palette. Having held numerous club residencies, he regularly plays at
Panorama Bar and Cocktail D’amore in Berlin, The Carry Nation and Wrecked in New York, Hard French
in San Francisco, and his own party Loosen Up! In Detroit, consistently offering a finely-tuned selection of
Acid House, Italo Disco, Latin Freestyle, & 90’s NYC House. In 2013 Jeffrey and SOPHIE released the
first untitled “Sfire” record on Cocktail d'Amore Music out of Berlin which has become a cult classic. Since
then the duo has released 3 more untitled “Sfire” records. He is currently living in Detroit and is one half of
the Italo/Electro duo Looky Looky with Ian Clark released on Dark Entries records of San Francisco
