Another fun collaboration with @dough-factory !

We came up with the quirky beat and then went searching for some samples that would fit. I immediately thought of the Big Lebowski. But we'd also been talking about the Netflix show Midnight Gospel so we pulled in some clips from that as well.

What stuck in my head for this piece is how a day, which begins in a heavy atmosphere, can end quite differently with an often unexpected shift.
(By the way Circa diem was almost called Nycterohemeral Thoughts but then the title would have become more of a joke than anything else.)
Ce qui me trottait dans la tête pour ce morceau c'est la façon dont une journée, qui commence dans une ambiance pesante, peut se terminer tout à fait autrement par un glissement souvent inattendu.

En passant Circa diem a failli s'appeler Nycterohemeral Thoughts mais alors le titre serait devenu plus une blague qu'autre chose.

Probably the last part of the series. Impetus or momentum is also an archaic theory that was supposed to address the problem of inertia (and turned out to be wrong). Still, the concept seemed to me to fit perfectly with the idea of "feeding the movement", any force that moves us, keeps us in action. 
The main influence remains Steve Reich and in particular his work on "Electric counterpoint" and "2x5" which I wondered what would happen if they were considered as works of a new kind of rock that would only ask prosper. 

Probablement la dernière partie de la série. Impetus ou Elan est aussi une théorie archaïque qui était sensée répondre au problème que posait l’inertie (et qui s’est révélée être erronée). Toujours est-il que le concept me semblait coller parfaitement à l’idée « d ‘alimentation du mouvement », toute force qui nous meut, nous garde en action.  
L’influence principale reste Steve Reich et notamment son travail sur « Electric counterpoint » et « 2x5 » dont je me suis demandé ce qu’il se passerait si on les considérait comme œuvres d’un nouveau genre de rock qui ne demanderait qu’à prospérer.
