The myth of Nostradamus appears regularly, but mostly when big things happen in the world.
Covid or Putin, someone will probably find a Nostradamus prophecy to fit.
Nostradamus was a French physician and astrologer who, according to the rumors, was able to see into the future.
He wrote his prophecies in cryptic verse because he did not want anyone to know their fate in advance.
I've taken this myth and spun a tale as a mini musical.
Here we have the small village where the citizens live a miserable life. Without self-awareness, they blame everything and everyone.
When they hear of Nostradamus' abilities, they demand, through a spokesman, that he help them. But Nostradamus refuses: no one shall know their fate.
The citizens get each other fired up, and in the dead of night, they set off furiously in a torchlight procession towards the castle where Nostradamus lives.
As the door opens, Nostradamus steps forward and tells them to go home. But he does give them some advice.
A piece of advice that more and more people take to heart in the glow of the night, and chant like a mantra. Meanwhile, their hearts are filled with love, their minds with hope and the future seems bright.
