Technology continues to improve the lives of producers, most significantly the marvel of file transfer and electronic chat. Thus now enters a production friendship which spans the great North American continent. From Vancouver comes DJ Hockey. This lithe and prodigious talent is among a close cohort of pure, renegade artists composing the PNW underground community. On any given weekend, he and others like Adam Two are hauling speakers, fast at work on a new PPRZ release, or performing around a lineup of other stalwart heroes like Juana, Lonefront, and Patrick Russell. 
Thus when listener and web browser, Associate, took notice of DJ Hockey's invigorating and stripped down techno. It only took a few listens before he began his usual direct messaging campaign of heaping praise. Associate resides in the USA capital on the east coast, Washington, DC. After a trip abroad he saw his only path forward to include production. He spent his life continuously immersed with electronic music from his erstwhile point of origin, the midwest, and after 40 or 50 plugin purchases and numerous lessons, he finally took to it. In one afternoon, he was able to remix a DJ Hockey banger and the split EP idea was born.

French-born and Berlin-based, ophélie is a DJ and producer, known for weaving low-end frequencies, intricate percussion, and rich, bass-driven textures into deeply immersive sets. With roots in dub, UK techno and IDM, her sound moves fluidly between dubstep, hypnotic techno and drum & bass, while drawing subtle influence from ambient, psychedelia, and trance. Her approach to music is organic and emotionally charged built on layered soundscapes, unusual (poly)rhythms, and a strong connection to natural environments. 

Promoter and resident at @refugeworldwide , she hosts Therapy Dog, a show that doubles as an event series at Berlin’s queer listening bar, @kwia.berlin . Her presence extends across platforms like NTS, Kiosk Radio, and Kindred in London, and she’s contributed to Polygonia’s Herbarium and @kinetic_____ mix series. As a producer, her tracks landed on labels including Bait, @pressuredome and @earlyreflex , with her debut EP being release via hundert records in early 2024 and her most recent release on Water Bodies, the first @gravitypleasure compilation.

In this mix, ophélie offers a more introspective journey, flowing through slow, percussive transitions and subtle shades of R&B, neo-soul/wave and some dance nuances, a fresh and unexpected detour from the typical club sound.
