"Arriving into Temple, already dipped into the most sacred silence and the most daring sounds, not seeing but feeling the familiar faces and expert listeners was somehow intimidating, but also encouraging and exciting. I had prepared a hybrid live set, djing several recordings and reviewed old tracks i compiled through the year, on preparation of another live set for Mostra, and a sp404+FX full of sounds, sampled movies, sequences and patterns to fill the gaps and refill the most dance-oriented moments of the set so there could be a little more entropy and fun.

The idea was the "interruptus' vibe where full dances would be difficult but the movement and weird hand twists would arrive through extra filterings, complex pseudo beats and dub passages of the set.

The sound and gear at Espacio Perpendicular are also intimidating for those of us not used to such definition, so the experience was even more brilliant. Doing lo-fi processes into a hi-fi system is such bless.

Hailing from Brooklyn's vibrant electronic music scene, Moon Patrol stands out as a compelling collaboration between Irina Kotik and Gilles Wasserman. As the visionary co-founders of the Brooklyn-based webzine Delayed, the duo brings a wealth of influences to their joint venture, Moon Patrol.
Their musical narrative unfolds through a delicate interplay of soft melodies and evolving ambiances, crafting a distinctive sonic identity that guides listeners through evocative journeys within their DJ sets and original productions.

Having released on labels such as Oslated, Huinali Records, On Board Music, Lost In Translation, and Accents Records, there is no doubt about their notable impact.

The 7th instalment of our In:Focus Series places the spotlight on a very specific point in time - The Early Deepchord records years.

In the late 1990s the Deepchord record label was co-founded by Rod Modell & Mike Schommer in Detroit, Michigan. After just four years and achieving far more success than initially anticipated, DeepChord Records wound down operations. For this In Focus we want to concentrate specifically on the work that Rod and Mike did before they disbanded.

Across the Dub Techno scene the name Deepchord carries the highest of gravitas. Elite level quality, and considered by many to be, alongside Basic Channel, the blueprint of the genre.

So much has been written about Deepchord over the years, and we're not here to repeat what's been said (you can check out a great interview with Mike from a few years ago here - inn8.net/interview-with-mike-schommer-deepchord/ ), we're here to celebrate the music and we hope that through this session we have done that.

Somewhere in the south of France hides a festive oasis that, isolated from the world, comes to life every single year under the warm June sun. Organized since 2016 by Melifera Records, the aim of La Vallée Électrique festival is to bring together a community of artists and cultural stakeholders. For a weekend, electronic music & projections enhance the song of cicadas and the dancers the movements of nature in perfect harmony. An intimate experience in the heart of La Drôme Provençale, bringing together more than 600 electronic music enthusiasts from all over Europe for a timeless moment of nature, music, and discovery.

The 2024 edition of this festival will take place from 14 to 16 June.

This year, the line-up includes exclusive encounters with Feral & Ntogn, figureheads of Italian label Hypnus, and German duo Dycide & MTRL, representing IO Records. Clarence Rise and Café de la Jungle will also be on board, alongside some of France's finest electronic talents: Hewan Aman, Tauceti, Sindh, and many more. Throughout the day, live music and exclusive performances will take centre stage, with two showcases from rdg tribe and Polën, featuring artists such as Timnah, F-On and Javier Salazar.

An immersive, eco-designed scenography frames the event, supported by interactive installations and creative workshops to create a seamless fusion between Human, nature and technology. The project is a dream world, a utopia.

This is what Shani and Heliopora, one of the organizers of the festival, said about the mix: 
“The aim of this podcast is to take you through the different vibes of the La Vallée Électrique 2024 festival. In fact, the tracklist on this recording represents the timetable. We've carefully chosen a track from each artist to reflect the atmosphere of their set, and for those who don't produce their own music, we've selected tracks that would fit in perfectly with their forthcoming performance.”

‘Not a day goes by without me listening to house music.’ 

Not a common phrase to say for a normal student – but a very normal phrase for a DJ and producer, who’s got a taste for life on the other side of the decks. 

Sonidy was born in 1993, the son of a Spanish mother and an Italian father. It’s not hard to tell that he’s got rhythm running through his veins. Thanks to his parents he grew up listening to Depeche Mode, Michael Jackson, Jamiroquai, Daft Punk, Kool & the Gang and DJ Tonka, as well as Hip Hop legends like Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Tupac and Snoop Dogg.

Inspired by great DJs and producers such as DJ Tonka, Armand Van Helden, Carl Cox, Kerri Chandler and Bicep with a weak spot for Piano House, Sonidy’s music fascinates both fans and friends alike. His sound is best described as a mixture of House and Techno focussed on strong kicks and basslines. 

In August of 2015 Sonidy played at the Street Parade in Zurich, which has been the highlight of his DJ career so far. Not only has he performed alongside young and talented DJs such as Fraktion Tanz from Bern, but he has also opened up for industry professionals like Marcel Vogel, Yvan Genkins and DJ Le Roi.

Sonidy owns a management and party label called DIFFIKULT with fellow DJs Marc de la Haye, Gesang- & Klanglos and Bronson. DIFFIKULT is not only known but also active all over Switzerland.

Alongside his mother-tongues of Spanish, Italian and German, Sonidy also speaks fluent English and French.

Now Sonidy plays music as a resident DJ at ‘84th King Street’ party alongside Kloë Braun at The Club (Casineum) in Lucerne and various other clubs in Switzerland.

일반적으로 학생들에게 적용되는 말은 아니지만,  데크 주변의 삶을 살아가는 DJ나 프로듀서들에게는 일반적인 표현일 것이다. 

Sonidy 는 1993년, 스페인계 어머니와 이탈리아인 아버지 사이에서 태어났다. 이로 미루어 보아 그의 피에 리듬이 흐른다는 사실은 자명하다. 부모님 덕에 그는 어려서부터 Depeche Mode, Michael Jackson, Jamiroquai, Daft Punk, Kool & the Gang 그리고 DJ Tonka 의 음악을 들었고, 이외에도 Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Tupac, Snoop Dogg 등 힙합 레전드들의 음악 또한 들으며 자랐다.

2015년 8월, Sonidy 는 취리히의 스트릿 퍼레이드에서 플레이 했고, 그의  DJ 경력의 현재로서는 하이라이트이다. 또한 젊고 재능있는 디제이인  베른출신의 Fraktion Tanz 와의 플레이를 비롯해, 그는 업계의 프로페셔널들인 Marcel Vogel, Yvan Genkins 그리고 DJ Le Roi  등과도 플레이 했다.  Sonidy 는 매니지먼트와 파티레이블로서 DIFFIKULT 라는 단체를 운영하고 있으며 동료로서 DJ Marc de la Haye, Gesang- & Klanglos 그리고 Bronson 등과 함께한다. DIFFIKULT 는 스위스 전역에서 활발히 활동중이다. 

모국어인 스페인어와 이탈리아어, 독일어 뿐만아니라 Sonidy 는 영어와 불어에도 능통하다.
