life. The soundtrack of synthetic planets aimed at hyperevolution of
intelligent organisms.

Pianeti Sintetici ('synthetic planets' in Italian) is a new conceptual project
by Davide Perrone (Primal Code) that draws inspiration from the factories
of Magrathea, a planet in Douglas Adams' classic space opera The
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, where artificial planets are manufactured
on commission.

'This concept has always fascinated me, and I chose the name to frame a
hypothetical future of synthetic worlds, told with sound,' Davide says. 'I
like to imagine the howls of creatures inhabiting solar systems outside our
own. Rarefied atmospheres, alien sequences, and unfamiliar tonal scales.
So, I see Pianeti Sintetici as an open-ended design research project where
I can explore these inspirations.'

Jacopo Severitano, also known as Severja, is an Italian multi-disciplinary artist, DJ, and the visionary behind Midgar Records. 

Now based in Berlin, Severja has spent the past decade curating Midgar Records, shaping its distinct and aesthetically captivating identity. As a label owner he has ensured a sound aesthetic that defies genre categorization, but maintains a common thread of quality. With a diverse roster of artists including Agonis, Aa Sudd, Wata Igarashi, Tammo Hesselink, Polygonia, Forest Drive West, Ruff Cherry, and Keplrr to name a few, Midgar Records continually pushes the boundaries of electronic music, offering listeners an immersive and innovative auditory experience.

Severja’s versatile approach to DJing spans a broad spectrum of electronic music genres, including ambient, techno, drum and bass, experimental music, trance, and house to name a few. Severja is one of those artists that have full control of both the mental and physical realms when performing, and ensures to always surprise with a creative and challenging selection. 

In his podcast for Nachtblumen, Severja delves into his techno collection, presenting dubby cuts, rolling loopy rhythms, and layered textures that showcase his eclectic taste and deep understanding of music and sound. Severja continues to influence and innovate within the electronic music scene, consistently pushing boundaries and exploring new sonic landscapes.

We sat down for an in depth conversation to discuss Jacopo's artistic profile, inspirations and Midgar and the past 10 years of curating the label and contributing to the electronic music scene.

Biography:

FOREST ON STASYS
 
OWNER AND ELECTRONIC EXPLORER IN DANZA NATIVA.
The creativity of Forest On Stasys is Influenced by tribal minimalist techno in the nineties and the deepest and most abstract techno currently. In his tracks the most seductive elements are the use of resonant basses perfectly combined with long and reverberated pads, extensive sonorous landscapes that are modified by continuous movement of LFO, solid grooves and strident percussions.
But not everything that comes out of his head is created with an intention to be used on the dance floor. He has a great admiration for drone and ambient tracks, without a rhythmic pattern that predominates, where the main factor is to captivate the listener with melodies that can be marked by a strong melancholy or with notes that give a certain feeling of satisfaction depending on his current mood.
