Hailing from Brooklyn's electronic music scene, Moon Patrol stands out as a compelling collaboration between Irina Kotik and Gilles Wasserman. As the visionary co-founders of the Brooklyn-based webzine Delayed, the duo brings a wealth of influences to their joint venture, Moon Patrol.
Their style fuses soft, delicate melodies and evolving ambiances with rumbling grooves and intricate percussion, taking listeners on unique journeys through their DJ sets and original productions.

Adhémar (@adhemarmusic) is a multi-disciplinary artist, establishing his universe through music and visual works. Constantly in search of the luminous quality of sounds, in a world made of shadows and light, his music is closely linked to his plastic work. This obsession with shadows leads him to think and create spaces, atmospheres that focus on the lightness and poetry of light. The idea of "narrative potential of music", allows us to confront the psychological and philosophical journey with a particular relationship on what is alive and what surrounds us (whether it is the material, immaterial world, the fact that everything is constantly becoming). With a particular rigour for transitions, whether in his own production or in his DJset, his universe is built little by little, with the passing of sound transformations and the light and poetic transportation of it all.

Recorded at the latest edition of our gathering upstate, these long weekends away from the city truly do wonders for both igniting a creative spark, and providing a recharge from the constant hustle and bustle of the city. There's a special feeling around the place that evokes a musical freedom that I've not felt anywhere else. As we hone our weekend routine through the last few years, I've become comfortable playing an 'all-nighter' if you will on the second night, or as close to one as I can get. This recording is a section of that, and I have to say how incredibly satisfying it is to start from Ambient, and build a proper story through the hours hitting a variety of different genres.

OCCA, who's leading the Japanese techno scene both in name and fact, is recognized as one of the special figures who continues to inspire the current scene not only as a DJ but also as an event organizer with a comprehensive perspective. 

The set he performed to close DAY 2 started with a techno sound that skillfully blended roaring bass, electronic repetitive sounds that made the audience soar, and organically intertwined drums. In the latter half of the set, when the sun emerged, the audience was treated to more ravey and, at times, even sensory numbing house music, a feat only OCCA could mix up with his solid experience of self-expression in a wide variety of venues. The three-hour set is a perfect opportunity to fully enjoy his extensive library of musics.

OCCA at rural 2024

In the past few months, we’ve found ourselves returning to a remarkable corner of the Spanish midlands, where music thrives in a unique and unpredictable way. Perpendicular Festival has become the place where artists embrace spontaneity, crafting moments that feel truly alive.

This time, we’re focusing on o.utlier, an Irishman based in London whose debut album Alaya on Appian Sounds left an unforgettable mark last year. A co-founder of Titrate Records and a resident DJ for Astral Industries, o.utlier has mastered the art of balancing a diverse range of sounds, from drone to intricate polyrhythmic techno. If you’re familiar with his work, you already have a sense of the musical journey he can take you on.

It was a bright Saturday afternoon when he took the stage, easing the crowd into the day with laid-back broken beats and serene atmospheres. There was an unspoken magic as the music slowly drew everyone in, almost imperceptibly. Beneath a canopy of shade, the crowd swayed, their movements guided by his subtle changes in tempo and tone. Before long, the energy began to build, smooth, natural, and unforced, until the atmosphere shifted into something more adventurous.
Suddenly, the set took a turn, diving into murkier territory. Darker tones emerged, with dub influences and intricate rhythms that seemed to challenge both body and mind. Over the course of nearly two and a half hours, o.utlier created a magnetic experience that felt both cerebral and visceral—a true journey through the unexpected.

This performance was a special one; it was a shared moment at a gathering of kindred spirits. Do you really need another reason to hit play? We think not.

Hello everyone!

It's October 1st, autumn is slowly settling in and it's time to launch our new episode of the podcast series; this time we have the honour and pleasure of inviting maestro F-On.

An acclaimed DJ and top producer, he specialises in demanding, experimental music in both his sets and his productions, at the crossroads between low-tempo dub, ambient and cinematic music, where the textures and backgrounds bear witness to both a real sonic richness and an authentic signature.  Based in Madrid, Alfonso Pomeda has made a name for himself over the years by becoming a benchmark on the techno scene with his Alpenglühen project, which is dedicated to deep music in the form of a label and a structure for online and physical events. Label owner with Bule of Antimatter, he is also curator of the Mostra Festival in Barcelona, F-On performs regularly in the best clubs and festivals around the world, most recently at the Parralel festival and at Vurt and Gare Porto. Let yourself be drawn into this hour and a half of music where the rhythm, with its strong identity, guides you on a progressive, inner journey that is at once organic, mechanical and dreamlike.

As the autumn season gently unfurls, bringing cooler days and longer nights, we often find ourselves drawn indoors, where the world slows down just a bit. This time of year invites moments of introspection and the soothing balm of stress relief, creating the perfect opportunity to immerse ourselves in calming and tranquil sounds. 

Unrush is pleased to welcome Low Velocity Soundsystem from Leipzig & Halle to this journey. Since debuting in 2018 as part of the event series “Time To Get Lost” in Halle, LVS has cultivated a space beyond the dance floor, inspired by the legendary 90s chill-out rooms. Gregor and John have created a musical environment where ambient textures converge with trip-hop, drone, techno, and dub, revealing a deep appreciation for atmosphere and mood.

Gregor is part of the team at Connwax, which hosts a long-standing label night at Leipzig’s IfZ, while John hosts the Folding Realities radio show on Callshop Radio, also working as a live-act and producer. Both bring their unique personalities to the track selection, blending their expansive music collections with a genuine and passionate spirit.

This set reflects their vibe—a unique blend of ambient-dub, drawing subtle connections to the club scene, and tinged with a delicate hint of melancholy. Without much discussion beforehand, they found themselves aligned, crafting a curation that speaks to the introspective side of the season. So sit back, breathe deeply, and let the sounds guide you through a moment of calm...
