Electronic musician and guitarist, Sun Dawei is a very active composer in China. He started learning guitar at the age of fourteen, and later formed a punk band, which became the catalyst for him to open the door to music. Settled in Beijing in 1999, then began research and creation of electronic music, and at the same time began to dabble in Fashion Show, film, drama and commercial soundtrack work. After several transformations, in order to explore different music spaces. He announced a new musician project - CTAFAD.
In 2020, "Vertical Horizontal" was published on "Shanshui Music". Desde el tenue resplandor del underground de principios de los 90, Árpád Horvát — HORI — ha dedicado más de veinticinco años a explorar las frecuencias ocultas del sonido electrónico. Su evolución refleja los cambios constantes de la escena: nacida del ritmo conmovedor del house neoyorquino de los 90, forjada en la crudeza del techno italiano y británico, refinada por el minimalismo de los 2000 y, finalmente, sumergida en la profunda e hipnótica inmensidad del dub y el ambient techno.

Guiado por la influencia de visionarios como Kraftwerk, Drexciya, Plastikman, Laurent Garnier, Jeff Mills, Surgeon, Mike Parker y Edit Select, HORI siempre se ha mantenido al margen de las tendencias. Su enfoque reside en lo que subyace: en las texturas, la resonancia y las sutiles fuerzas que dan forma al paisaje emocional del sonido. Cada actuación es menos un set que un ritual de cocción lenta, donde el ritmo se disuelve en la atmósfera y el tiempo se transforma en pulso y tono.

Sardinian native TVS, a producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist, shares with us a darkly contoured selection of tracks to energise and hypnotise, showcasing her appreciation and understanding of the ambient, deep and experimental.

The selection picks us up with an ambient overture, layers upon layers of sound added to a sonic canvas as images of murky basements, flashing lights and shadows are conjured to our minds eye. The kick an ever changing pendulum, the bass warping and twisting into the surreal, each track putting us under a new spell just as the previous releases us.

As the tempo and intensity rises, final slashes of experimental sound suddenly decorate the tapestry, bringing a release from the depths. We've returned from below, yet the surface seems different...
