With such an impeccable track record for his original productions, any news of an impending Josh Wink release is usually met with a familiar mix of excitement and trepidation. When the bar is perpetually raised to such lofty heights, what can one man do to keep such momentum going? 

The answer, naturally, is to slam the listener with the kinetic intensity of a full on jackhammer acid assault, and that’s exactly what ‘I’m Talking To You’ does. A swelling TB 303 motif contorts and swims around a vocal snippet, distorted and chopped to mind-bending effect in classic Wink style. Make no mistakes, the Philly godfather still reigns supreme; Wink is here, and he's talking to you. 

The release also features a (subjectively) more subdued ‘Groove’ mix, and a signature ‘TalkApella’ tool for DJ sets.

Josh Wink - Talking To You (Original)

Etruria Beat is pleased to present the first EP of the talented duo from Modena Toms Due. Already appeared with the track "Part Of It" and more recently with the remix of Bastinov - Ellipse which has been played everywhere around the globe, today they offer two original tracks with a defined and aggressive sound plus two huge remixes from Etruria’s family.. Get ready to blow up some dance floors!

The EP opens with the remix of the label-boss Luca Agnelli, who brings a very techno track, full Robert Hood style, with a distorted kick and a Detroit chord that makes the rhythm obsessive and powerful. 

The second track is the original "Fly over", built around the melody and a solar chord hooked to a powerful 909 groove . It will be a nice breath of fresh air for the darkest consoles. 

The B1 is the track from which the EP take his name, "The Bridge", is nothing but search for the essential. Very few sounds that will make the atmosphere dark, an incredibly present kick and some 909 distorted hi-hats that ensures a breathless pace, until the last second. 

Finally, the "House" reinterpretation from the foot of Mount Vesuvius of the talent Dast,  who comes up with his version , influenced by a synth full of atmosphere but time-pressing at the same time.. Get your smiles ready, package is served!

A true product of Toronto's thrillingly cosmopolitan Grooving Pot, this Chinese-Italian duo is quickly earning a rep for crafting highly effective acid tracks with just a hint of banger. They initially earned notice with their first EP, 'Vaporizer,' on This Is Music, before making fans out of some big names with THESE tracks, with Brodinski championing 'Body Acid' and forcing Turbo's A&R Vibetrust to perk up their unbelievably jaded ears. If you aren't sold on the Ontario-buzz, then maybe you'll pay attention to two awesome remixes by the bombest Bulgarian, Kink. The 'Deep' mix is a lush, throbbing body-rub, and the 'Acid' version is a highlight-reel of peak time mayhem, already caned and charted by Erol Alkan and Tiga. If nothing else, 'Body Acid' is a vital reminder that acid goes into your body. That's just the way it works.

When presented with a young talent with his whole life and a brilliant career ahead of him, we at Twin Turbo feel the only morally acceptable thing to do is to get out of the way and minimize the risk of the least important promotional arm of the music business hindering the otherwise inevitable upswell of positive energy and unmitigated success that lay ahead. 

Tiga recently took to the BBC airwaves to declare ABSOLUTE. “a future star,” and we’re just going to leave it at that, rather than mention something the Twin Turbo label boss may have added about wanting to create an “animal blockchain” of up-and-coming talent. It’s simply not necessary. The London-based DJ/producer has earned support from Annie Mac, The Black Madonna and Erol Alkan, a veritable Influencer’s Row of venerated tastemakers. On a more personal level, when ABSOLUTE. was younger and owned only one deck, he used to beat match along to Pete Tong’s radio sets. That’s genuinely charming and relatable, and requires no further embellishment . He also espouses the virtues of a strong work ethic and open-mindedness, and in doing so gives us a glimpse of what dance culture could be like if we could simply erase the miserable baggage of anyone over 24. 

And the music? Oh, it’ll make you gotta dance all right.

E-Missions co-founder P.Leone returns to Radio Slave’s Rekids this September with ‘The My Lita Project’ backed with remixes from Mark Broom and Spencer Parker. 

Originally hailing from New York, P.Leone now resides in Berlin where he helms his E-Missions imprint with releases from himself and co-founder Caiazzo, exciting new artists like Rush Plus and Tred, not to mention remixes from Young Male, Spencer Parker and Lawrence Lee. Leone has also dropped a variety of releases on Rekids and Work Them Records, when not making regular appearances at clubs like Tresor and ://about blank. He now returns to Radio Slave’s respected imprint with ‘The My Lita Project’, following up his highly lauded ‘El Dorado’ EP that garnered support from Ben Sims, Jackmaster and Spencer Parker. 

‘My Lita’ kicks things off with classic synths, piercing strings and choppy vocals slices whilst robust drums march forward. Meanwhile, ‘Tight In The Pocket’ is more dark and menacing in comparison with its syncopated percussion, echoing claps and ethereal atmospherics. 

On the flip, Mark Broom drops two different remixes of ‘My Lita’; the first is a robust cut complete with disco elements like funky guitar licks and soulful voice, with the original’s stabs shining throughout, whilst the second remix takes a different route with its crunchy snares, moaning murmurs and fuzzy effects. Spencer Parker rounds things off with a remix of his own, chopping up the original’s vox whilst sultry pads join thumping kicks and quivering melodies.

Following on from his acclaimed debut album Sunset Service, Locked Groove presents a triple pack of highly charged remixes from Anastasia Kristensen, Alan Fitzpatrick and Prequel Tapes. These Sunset Service remixes are due 19 July on Hotflush. 

Employing his emotional, murky strand of darkened electronics, Prequel Tapes morphs ‘Eden’ into a shapeshifting industrial creature with a mind of its own. Conversely, Anastasia Kristensen looks towards glistening skies with a radiant fast techno spin of ‘Out Of Orbit’.

Last but not least, Alan Fitzpatrick’s take on ‘From Beyond’ is a pensive nod to the beauty and melancholy of classic rave culture.
