I can't help but groove along to the drummer keeping time on the 8th beat here. It holds down the rhythm and seems to allow the bassist to be more expressive. This song is always catches my ear, and I think I know why now

We at The Quietus are thrilled to announce that our record label's next stop on the journey of putting out vinyl by people whose music pleases our ears will come from none other than... THE CHARLATANS! On Monday September 29th we're going to be releasing a limited edition 7" single of 'Talking In Tones', the first track from the band's as-yet-untitled 12th album, which has just been finished at the band's Big Mushroom studios. What's more, tQPC artists Grumbling Fur have done a dubbed-out cone-friendly remix (to be revealed in due course) called 'Tonal Nargual (Fur Star Liner Aquatic Ape Mix'. The 'Fur's Daniel O'Sullivan and Alexander Tucker also designed a side each of the 7" artwork.
