Alex finds a lot of inspiration in old-school production techniques and music from the past era. Alex' main goal is to share the music he likes the most, this can either be recent discoverties, personal favorites or own productions. ▻ You are originally from Munich, and now you live in Berlin, what brought you there?

I moved to Berlin for my masters but I loved the city since I was a child. Together with my passion for techno it just made sense to move there.

▻ Where did you have your last gig and how was it?

My last gig was Anomalie Art Club in Berlin for a privat event. It was fun but I‘m looking forward to play a clubnight someday. 

▻ You produce your own music in the meantime, how do you always start there and with what equipment do you have for it at the start?

I start with the kick and bassline, add a synth and fill the tracks with drums. I use an analog four a tr8s and ableton live to make my music. 

▻ What's on your musical agenda for 2023?

Finishing my first EP.

▻ I heard you go out a lot, what are your favorite clubs?

Berghain, RSO and ELSE.

Mathias Weber is a natural dancer and the co-founder of Front Left Records with Elad Magadasi.

Freya K. has a deep love for timeless techno and house on 12“ weapons, but she is always eager to venture into other genres, experiment with different sounds and find sweetspots between genres. 

With this vinyl only mix, she dives deep into her techno collection and combined recent favorites ranging from fresh finds like Key Vinyl and SK Eleven releases to oldschool gems from CLR and Speaker Attack.

My new track which I am currently most proud of. WimpAmp Master is crisp af again! So much thanks to this dude! What a genius! And superb friend! This track is the first one which I think is actually really really decent and I think I used most of my potential and experience which I was able to acquire and accumulate knowledgewise in the last few months since my start of producing music in April this year.
I tried to make something I would like to listen to and to play myself as a DJ to a crowd with having a sort of NightPsy/Twilight mixed track with a few darker elements and a conversation about Psytrance from the perspective of a PsyMafia Dealer from New Yorks 1920´s during prohibition. So I wrote some lines this person could say during an interview and made a voice over with ElevenLabs and built my track around this. The leads were made in Vital and the track was built in Bitwig.

I was exploring new sound design tips and came up with the idea of mixing Stephanie’s vocals from Cloonie with 90s-style donk kicks and acid. Classic claps on the beat and, of course, some signature 4-beat changes. Enjoy, everyone who loves this type of music! 🖤
