Quelques mois après avoir convié huit producteur-rice-s francophones de haut-vol pour un long format, La Forge s’écarte momentanément de la formule ‘Crysta Ampullaris’ pour une proposition plus radieuse et solaire. Dans ‘Crysta Ensolaris’ s’exprime l’optimisme du retour à la fête tant attendu après plus d’un an de privation, comme un besoin manifeste de se retrouver et de communier pendant ces doux moments de rêverie, diurnes comme nocturnes, qui nous manquent tant.
Retour au format EP pour notre noyau dur composé des producteurs Nigm, Slowglide, Lebird, Shonen Bat et Ayuji, qui nous gratifie de cinq tracks à très haut potentiel U.V. Introduction tout en douceur avec ‘Ephemeral’ de @nigm-lau, pépite downtempo introspective aux allures de voyage mystique en plein zénith, parsemé de mirages et autres illusions soniques. @Slowglide fait monter l’acide à grands renforts de breakbeats dans l’incantatoire ‘Solstice’, morceau psychédélique aux relents big beat parfaitement calibré pour ambiancer une teuf néopaïenne.
Soudain, l’éclipse. Banger electro de haute voltige, ‘Adonia’ de @lebirdmusic nous emmène au fond d’une nuit caniculaire dans laquelle les chairs ondulent et se choquent, le souffle coupé par les impacts de kicks. L’enfant terrible @shonen-bat nous propulse ensuite dans une gigantesque rave solarpunk en gravité zéro avec ‘Planet Serotonia’, morceau extraterrestre hybride entre house breakée et UK hardcore protéiné. Enfin, @ayujimusic conclut l’épopée avec ‘Heliopolis’, petit joyau de house solaire et véloce mélangeant techno de Détroit et sonorités trance, dernier rush de dopamine au lever du soleil avant que la fête se termine.

After having invited, a few months ago, eight of the best producers France currently has to offer, La Forge now temporarily steps away from the ‘Crysta Ampullaris’ series for a more radiant and solar output. ‘Crysta Ensolaris’ is fueled by the optimism inspired by the perspective of soon getting back on the dancefloor, after more than a year of privation : this sheer need to reunite and come together, be it day or night, during these sweet moments of daydream that we’ve all been missing so much.
Back to an EP formula, our core main producers (Nigm, Slowglide, Lebird, Shonen Bat & Ayuji) gratify us with five tracks full of U.V. vibes. Soothing introduction ‘Ephemeral’, by Nigm, is an introspective downtempo nugget, not unlike a mystical journey under a zenith sun, with its load of sonic mirages and illusion. Then Slowglide turns the acid up, layering breakbeats into the incantatory ‘Solstice’, a big-beat-infused psychedelic track perfectly designed to launch a neo-pagan rave.
Suddenly, here comes the eclipse. Lebird’s ‘Adonia’, a high-energy electro banger, takes us to one of those sweltering nights when bodies undulate and collide, breathless as the kick drum hits. Then, wild kid Shonen Bat propels us towards a gigantic solarpunk rave in zero gravity with ‘Planet Serotonia’, a hybrid, alien-sounding track somewhere between breakbeat house & high-protein UK hardcore. Finally, Ayuji puts a finishing touch to this fantastic trip with ‘Heliopolis’, a swift, solar house gem mingling Detroit techno influences with some trance elements. Like an ultimate rush of dopamine at sunrise, just before the party draws to a close.

For the second release in our Re-Issue Series we’ve teamed up with London duo Euphonic for a cherry picked deep dive into their back catalogue exploring some of their finest works, fusing Jungle, Breaks, and Down Tempo with unique programming, bass lines and traditional jazz/blues instrumentation.

“Low Orbit Archives” features a number of artists whom they have collaborated with since the project's inception back in 1997, including dr. Israel, Soothsayer, Kirsty Rock and Neech. Euphonic is led by producer Rob Henry and former Graffiti artist turned DJ, Nick Trimm.

The “Low Orbit Archives” compilation continues, following Part 1 of the projects recently released 10" vinyl "Jah Science", with an additional 8 tracks spread across the 12” and digital exclusives. The release aims to offer a wide but cohesive spectrum of genres and styles for audio lovers and record collectors. All tracks have been unearthed from CD, Vinyl and DAT, and newly remastered.
