“Wasteland” is the debut single from ”Obligation of Joy” (out October 31st), the first LP by synthpop duo Parker Leftlover. The duo blends 60s drum machines with modern samples, lo-fi synths with bittersweet pop harmonies. The music reminds of various decades of pop-history and Cinema. it seems to carry a patina... from the future.

Notably, Finnish artist Jaakko Eino Kalevi, known for his unique mixture of synthpop, electronic and indie music, contributed additional synthesizer parts to the track.

Parker Leftlover is Nikita Thévoz from Vevey and Jonas Weber from Biel/Bienne. The two Multi- Instrumentalists creates contemporary sensitive synth-pop and cold wave Sometimes danceable, sometimes romantically beautiful, but always distinctive, their music evokes various eras of musical subculture. They playfully experiment with the sounds and arrangements of pop music, constantly expanding its boundaries.
