I record a lot of voices, in the street, in restaurants, in bars, everywhere. I do not care what is said, it is the sounds, the rhythms that interest me.

Diverted voices

From a distance, I thought it was a drunk man screaming. As I approached, I saw a migrant walking around, a blanket under his arm, singing. To give himself courage, to forget, to believe in the future? ... He seemed to feel so bad... The sound is pretty bad, the street was noisy.

I know, when you go to the opera you don’t bring your recorder. Yet, that’s what I did, but I doubt that anyone can recognize from which opera these voices are extracted. In fact, what seems to be a voice is several pieces of voices and there’s even a tiny bit of Carmen. Can you find it?

My creative process is based on recording my environment, capturing sounds from the streets, bars, restaurants, or concerts... Anonymous recordings, stolen from the world around me. Nothing original, often very mundane sounds: children playing, birds singing, bells ringing... 

From this base and my guitar, I try to make each track to live like a short film. Whether it is a tale of adventure, nostalgia or dream, each tracks will invites you to visualize your own narrative and for somes one a very personal story. 
To each their own film.
