Inspired by First Nations’ (Australia) Dreamtime and glimpses into Marc’s own lucid dreams, the selection glides effortlessly through deep, radiant waters, weaving an impressive palette of genres and sounds into a whole that is glitchy, atmospheric, and esoteric yet, somehow, superbly unified and hopeful.

With new releases on the horizon, including on @spekkiwebu's imprint @mirrorzone, Altjira is a bold new manifestation of a most fascinating artist entering an exciting, ascendant phase, a moment captured exquisitely by Patterns of Perception 97.

In the hidden recesses of the cavern devoted to spiritual transcendence, a venerable holy man was engrossed in profound meditation, teetering on the very threshold of Nirvana...

The tranquility enveloping the sacred space was abruptly shattered as two nefarious thieves stealthily infiltrated its hallowed confines. Cloaked in shadows, they dragged along a stolen Bull, callously desecrating the sanctity of the cave. With ruthless brutality, they slaughtered the innocent creature, severing its head without a moment's regard for the violated sanctity...

The holy man, an unwitting spectator to this sacrilege, locked eyes with the intruders. Astonishingly undisturbed by the gruesome spectacle unfolding before him, he allowed the thieves to sever his own head as well. In a surreal metamorphosis, the severed head of the celestial Bull seamlessly replaced his own, transcending the boundaries of conventional life...
Transformed into the celestial figure of Yama - the god of death...The holy man unleashed a torrent of divine anger. Consuming the intruders with insatiable hunger, the wrath of Yama spilled beyond the cavern's confines, threatening to engulf the entire mountain in its ominous embrace...

Faced with this escalating peril, the disciples turned to Manjusri, the embodiment of wisdom. In a fearful struggle against Yama, Manjusri assumed the fierce bull-headed form of Yamantaka, determined to quell the divine fury that now threatened to devour not only the thieves but also the very essence of the sacred mountain...The spiritual battleground resonated with the clash of celestial forces, as wisdom grappled with divine anger in a struggle that transcended mortal comprehension...
