My new single "I Will Never Forget" existed in its earliest form some fifteen years ago. While I've not changed some of those initial verses, I've written different versions of the song through the years. A few might remember an earlier incarnation I posted on SoundCloud about a decade ago. While the song has evolved, the central idea has never changed. It comes from the drive to cherish, extol the exploits of romantic love.

we read nursery rhymes to our kids every night..then we all go to sleep and wake up and seem to forget the stories morals.
sometimes the solution to complicated problems is easier than not..just get up and help.
the dangers of virtual reality/social media are becoming obvious to me..we lose touch with each other and the world and so lose empathy and the capacity to help.it generates a false sense of security and distorts reality.

one day a stormy wind blew in the 100 acre wood
it blew Yore's house to the ground
he stood all alone in the cold cold rain
losing all hope with no place to go

piglet was trapped in a raging flood in the 100 acre wood
he stood on some chairs to save himself

but Winnie the Pooh knew what to do

he put down his honey pot, got off of his couch 
and went outside to help

now our neighbors are homeless they lie in the street
in the cold cold rain ,no place to go

your dinner delivered to your door

you have virtual reality to hide in
but everything's fine until it's not
you're not alone in the world
when they pound down your door cause they can't take anymore
the fault will be yours not theirs

so take off the ear phones
get up off the couch
and go outside to help

after all Winnie the Pooh is stuffed with fluff
