This is another edit i made this morning that has worked out quite well, it's not a banger but a lower tempo Hip Hop tune with a message that is kind of appropriate with all the BS going on in the world today. Pecoe - Where Is The Groovin

This is the 5th Sunday in a row i've pumped out a FREE tune (Edit). I've tried to keep the tracks as simple as possbile yet still sounding good and working as a tune. This one came together in about 2 hours and another 2 hours to mix it down, create a cover for Soundcloud and social media, etc. It uses the annoying and catchy acapella of Heavy Vee - I Don't Need a Hook and the 1975 Funk tune Shack Up by Banbarra, hence the title of my track - Hook Up. P.S. You might notice the breakbeat sample in this was used by A. Skillz & Krafty Kuts .... pretty sure it's the opening breakbeat in Tricka Technology ?

I don't consider myself to have all that much innate musical talent, but every so often my brain just plucks an idea out of nowhere and presents it to me. I was literally brushing my teeth a while back when my brain said 'Hey, Tom! You know that Mariah Carey tune that goes "And we'll linger on…"? Yeah, that one - the one you haven't heard for years. You need to speed it up and put UK garage beats over it!' So I did as I was told, and this is what happened, and I'm quite pleased with it. I tried to lose the key change but it didn't work, so I had to keep it in. 

This one's all yours absolutely free, and hopefully gives you an alternative this Mariah Season…

A bit of a hallelujah moment when making this track.

I found an old funk track with an awesome amount of breakbeat samples in it, cut it up added a kick, snare, guitar, etc. Found an acapella in the right key which also had the same BPM as the track and literally threw it in the project and it fitted perfectly even with the changes in music. It's the whole acapella from start to finish. One of the most simplest edits i have made but works really well. Enjoy another FREE download. x :)

The very early Goodgroove records label artists sampled the heck out of early funk tracks and funily enough i came across the same tracks Featurecast used to make some of his early Funky Breaks bangers. So this tune is a bit of a homage to him (you'll know when you hear it) and the early Funky Breaks pioneers.

Pecoe hails from Perth, Western Australia and his love for EDM started back in the very early 1990's attending various raves and club nights at that time. Pecoe runs the Breakzlinkz website too, since 2007 and an offshoot of that called Old Breaks Mixes. From the music production side of things pecoe mainly keeps it funky and debuted his first EP back in 2017 on Breakbeat Paradise Recordings. Backing that up with releases on Cuttin It Fine, Gritz & Gravy, Big Fat Mama Beats, That's Not An Edit, Fort Knox Recordings, Applique Music, Young NRG Productions, 9th Avenue, Growroom Productions, Pig Ball Records, Katakana Edits and Spa In Disco.
