Space Is The Place

I started the new year with a musical meditation using the electric bass, a midi keyboard connected to a loop pedal. I recorded this improvisation on Focus, an old piece of mine in one piece without any additional overdubs, so it is basically a live recording.

Improvisation for solo bass and industrial drills (phone recording)

Plays tenor saxophone, clarinet and bass clarinet. Mostly improvised music but sometimes more "traditional" jazz as well. When I was younger I played lots of funk and soul   as well :) (e.g. in the band "Axel Schulz Fightnight").
Recorded ~ 15-20 CDs and demo tapes so far, Many of them with drummer/pianist Hannes Selig; some with Klaus Treuheit, Johannes Fink and other great jazz/free jazz musicians. And of course the more "poppy" stuff with bands such as ASFN, Früchte der Saison, Juke Joint Blues Band and Missouri/Green Apple Sea.
ATM I am trying out some electro-acoustic solo improvisations with my brand new Moog-equipment :)
