This is a Parabolic Microphone Mid-Side audio recording performed on May 5, 2021 at the wetland Palude del Busatello near Gazzo Veronese - Verona - Italy.
I used a Do It Yourself system by means of a stereo separation baffle inside a 55 cm parabolic dish, in which I inserted two 10 mm microphone capsules: an Omnidirectional AOM 5024 facing the inside of the dish and a figure-eight Primo EM283.
I used a Tascam DR100 mk3 on M/S position recording. 
Please use a good headphones to appreciate the stereo separation!

I performed a Mid-Side test by inserting a Primo EM283 figure-eight microphone and a Primo EM 172 omnidirectional microphone into a 53 cm diameter parabolic dish. This is in order to obtain a balanced Mid-Side stereo configuration in the dish. In the wolf forest close to Uppsala I placed a drop rig continuously recording for 48 hours and mixed it down to nine minutes. In the order they appear:
willow tit
crested tit
capercaillie, male flew past very close
pygmy owl
common scooter, two flocks migrating south
rain shower
WOLVES
pygmy owl
ural owl, female barking
jay
crested tit
raven landed close and walked around at the same time as WOLVES had a concert in the distance

Wolf forest from dusk to dawn

Last Friday we were out in our local wolf territory (1-hour drive from Uppsala) and at midnight a lone wolf howled at the moon. Always an amazing experience. Siggefora, Uppland. September 8, 2023.

European Bison sleeping and occasionally grazing in a field at night. Only managed to capture a short excerpt as at this point the village seemed to be very active right when I wanted to record so had to wait for a while.

Four years in a row I have been trying to record wolves. I have been lucky most years but since they have changed rendez-vouz area it took longer than usual this year. Now I have pinpointed where they are and maybe I will get better recording in the coming weeks. This is a perfect time of the year to listen for wolves.

Dawn in a private garden in Surrey. Recorded using Nagra SD with Green microphone and old Rode deadcat. Birds, local traffic, some gentle wind and my friend's dog at the end.
