Rose S is a photographer, creative director, archivist, musician, programming enthusiast born in Porto in January 1998. Her work as been following a sense inspired by the idea of occupation, not just the way an abandoned building can be occupied, the streets, a bank, a government building, a train station but also the way we occupy ourselves, our peers and their own spaces in coexistence, through time, body and thought.

Rose became inspired to finally push her energy into music after having the chance to find HTBX a London based music club night and collective focusing on providing a safe space for the city's underground communities and provide historical context around their work, as they intersect with many other different collectives such as INFERNO, via also founder Becky Stroke.

Following two years and a need to rest on all levels, it was in Porto that Rose had the chance to learn the technical touch, assistance and deeply rooted expertise of DJ morrice. For a while also, on the course of 1 to 2 years, their journey has passed through Rádio Quântica, where they have hosted and designed and co-designed different shows focusing on different aspects of collaboration through music, both in sound and visual ways. Their shows always focused on bringing a sense of self-exploration, learning and bringing their music nostalgia back to present, as when they started raving.

Now based in Lisbon, Rose is focusing on building an archival music practice to allow others to learn music via emotion. Rose S has played via different alters, sound styles and aesthetics in sound institutions as Ministerium Club, Nada Temple, NAV - Nunca Antes Visto and Prisma.

While being born and raised in Porto, it was only after Asterisco Colectivo was found by Aura Fonseca e Hugo Veiga that Rose S was able to perform actual dark raw relentless queer industrial techno, using their alter ego DYSPHORICA, tributed to CHLAMYDIA coming from SUBVERTED, queer dark industrial techno label, event series & workshop platform. .

Acting underground is the focus of Rose's life and action within our technocultured ecosystems. Rose has also been very impacted by artists like Cativo, helping music scenes all over the country and beyond through projects like Female Pressure, Instrumental Violence and Camara Magmatica, João Desidério, all-time carer and graphic designer, sound designer and maestro RV3IVM, spell-caster and activist marum or several family members but mostly their grandma. Everyone else connected to these references have, without doubt and obviously influenced the process.

There is no god, only people using the others' need of finding purpose in their insignificant existence.

There is no satan neither, satan is creation of the "holy" people to keep the believers scared, and thus easily controlled, obeying the true demons which those preachers serve - also people like you and me.

Hell is real, and it is on Earth. If you don't get what I mean, you are either part of the lucky minority or too stupid, or probably both.

The true evil does not like those educated in a way to be able to tell right from wrong without their shepherd.

Being kind to all and everything is purpose good enough. The evil always comes as an angel of light and gradually prevails. Those who truly believe that their purpose is to lead the others in the right direction are to be feared the most.

Providing proper education is fighting against evil. Perhaps your mother or first grade teacher is the real hero - those who fight in wars kill people.

p.s. They might say I'm fucked up.  Some like and pay to watch movies that scare them shitless, often involving a lot of blood and murder – isn’t that fucked up? These days, I can listen to 70-80s and nowadays truly good music more and more rarely. Actually, I have never had my own TV. Тhe TV news I catch in friends or relatives usually make me sad. It seems most people are interested in others' suffering more than anything else - the majority of them definitely deserve their faith.

p.s.2 This is my current view and I don't pretend it is right. It might change, everything changes.
