"Return From Paris" is a solo piano track that expresses the joy and excitement of a girlfriend's return home after a trip to Paris with her friends. The middle section of the piece is more lyrical and sweet, representing the shared memories and stories of the trip.

Towards the end, the melody becomes lively and festive again, with brilliant chords and a final cadence that conveys a sense of completeness and joy. "Return From Paris" is a musical celebration of returning home, full of love, happiness, and the joy of reunion.

The reflection represents a physical concept. Something that has experienced each one of us. Sometimes, the light reflects in unexpected ways and we are surprised by its beauty.

This is a piece for the reflection. I was a bit undecided with this, I re-uploaded it several times. But I will keep it as it is now. Anyway, the reflection is still a reflection. Have fun!

One Minute (Pensiero Breve)

I am very fond of this theme as it was one of the Jazz standards that I studied first. I discovered that the theme of Blue Bossa was released on a record in 1963, the year of my birth. This piece has always fascinated me for its simple melody and its harmony, but by chance this morning an intimate improvisation made its way into my soul and the keys of the piano.

This is (for me) a somewhat melancholy glance back at summer and a looking forward to what is to come: the crackle of a woodfire and the different ways the sunlight plays on the floors during the autumn season. Victor Birkan resides in Beer Sheva, Israel. In his youth, he obtained a classical musical education in St. Peterburg, Russia. Even then, he showed an interest in piano improvisation, although his teachers did not encourage it too much. Then came a long break… Victor tried different professions – biologist, computer IT. His passion for music did not interrupted, but he only started playing regularly again around 2016, and in 2018 began posting his compositions.
After receiving positive feedbacks on social media, he focused on improvised music. He is deeply convinced that improvisation is not a privilege of jazz, it is the classical piano that finds its way to people's hearts. Victor Birkan never prepares for his recordings. Sitting down at the piano, he has no idea where to start, what will be in the middle and how he will finish. The melody will come from somewhere... He seeks to capture pure emotion and splash it onto the keyboard. Practically does not use computer effects. His listeners often write about the "magic", bewitching influence of his compositions.
Over the past year, Victor’s composition, “Between Night and Day”, has been nominated for Best Solo Piano Single by the ONE WORLD MUSIC RADIO, and some interesting compositions have been created in collaboration with Yellow Roze Records label. Victor is constantly striving to expand his audience.
