Ship Calls

I love an infectious beat and that is what was driving this track to me from the start. I also wanted to get more creative and scrapped a few samples I used initially, and instead made the sounds myself, for example the kick and bass and keys. I went a bit experimental with the vocal effects as I loved playing with them and using my vocals like another instrument.  

Many thanks to @mortenjeamland for mixing and mastering the track to a professional level.

Hooked On You

For all the Storms still looking for their Tea Cups.

An exchange between a storm and a teacup, each seeing what is missing in them, in the other. 

The storm wishes to let go of its fury and burden, longing for a peaceful existence. The teacup, abandoned and longing to see the world, dreams of being filled again. 

The storm reassures the tea cup, not to be afraid of it. The tea cup isn't but  sees the storm's inner turmoil and offers a safe haven within its walls, envisioning a new, shared life.

The story concludes with the storm finding solace in the cradle of tea cup, in exchange, it shares is tales of the world it has seen.

in the Poem upload track I am stuck in my own buggy trying to climb through the frame! Schweeeeet. It's a nice representation of what this song is about... A playful one but I guess unknotting our youth (Our younger selves - the shit might have happened yesterday or 45 years ago...) to be more at peace with ourselves.

In this song image I am 6 months old. Smiling and crying at a world that I haven't yet been able to reason. It's from this period and younger we need to look at ourselves with. Proper innocence before your life labelled the you you feel you are now. We can make a new you at any point but we need to also be at one with the negativity that may have made you doubt that you are no longer that beautiful child that did nothing wrong. We can always become that child again and stay that child, the only difference, we can figure out what we are seeing
