On April 30th PillowTalk member, Michael Tello laid down a powerful 2 hour DJ set at New York's newest hotspot Flash Factory. He debuted the new Kendrick Lamar - Blue Faces mix along as "Booty Rang" of their new single "Love Addicted" out now on CREWLOVE Records. You know the words to their songs every time you hear them played, so much that you might even feel like you know them or have glimpsed into their closets.

PillowTalk is more than a whispered chat before bed but is that groovy, soulful, electronic music band who have been gifting you songs from the heart since 2011. Born that summer in the Lower Haight District of San Francisco by original members Sammy Doyle, Michael Tello and Ryan Williams, and recently joined full time by longtime friend and collaborator Shane Duryea, their music fuses the sounds of classic R&B, boogie and disco with underground house and indie dance. 
						
These gentlemen are known for their hard work in the studio with releases out on Crew Love, Visionquest, Life & Death, Wolf + Lamb, Circus Company, Kompakt, Bang The Box, D-Edge, and remixes for Groove Armada, Kasper Bjork, DJ Tennis, HVOB, Laid Back, Soul Clap, W+L, Nick Monaco, Frivolous, Midnight Magic, Future Generations, Set Mo and Lonely Boy. With non-stop touring around the world, PillowTalk never ceases to surprise their listeners with classic edits and collaborations with artists such as: Ruede Hagelstein, DJ Tennis, Thugfucker, Deniz Kurtel, Tone Of Arc and Navid Izadi, just to name a few. 

2017 shined its bright light on their release, Black Paradise on Crew Love Records with the Italian duo, LowHeads. They also generated some eclectic, soulful, deep and acid remixes for Nick Monaco, B. Bravo and 2 Block Radius. 2018 is shaped up to be a huge year for the band with the launch of their own imprint, PillowTalk Music. The boys kicked things off with the first release, Hold Me Down, in December of 2017 and have another all original release, Been A Long Time, in February, before releasing All People, the follow up to the classic 2014 album Je Ne Sais Quoi, just in time for summer. About to kick off another worldwide tour in 2019, these boys are at it non-stop. 

The first PillowTalk album is the second highest selling album in Wolf + Lamb history next to Nicolas Jarr and their entire catalogue is constantly heard and found on all online streaming services worldwide. 

PillowTalk’s music is as much a soundtrack to long nights as it is to lazy days —there is something about each of their records that covers the span of living: sun-splashed jams, peak-time party tunes and low-lit moments of intimacy. This is music to suit all times, and that is what PillowTalk is all about. These artists realize that some of your deepest secrets are revealed whilst pillow talking and feel lucky enough to listen in.

"Lil'T" is the new solo project, from PillowTalk DJ, producer, and member, Michael Tello. His mature blend of Classic, Deep, Funky, and Tribal House, along with Disco, Funk, and Hip Hop sound has led him to have releases and remixes on Wolf + Lamb, Soul Clap Records, Echolette, Bar 25, Uniting Souls Music, and Housepit Chicago. Producing, writing, and remixing for PillowTalk, Lil'T & Big $exy, Soul Clap, Sha-lor, Delos, Lee Curtis, LowHeads, Aquarius Heaven, Life On Planets, Jordan Strong, and Gustavo Lobo to name a few. 

Michael Tello has recently been hard at work on his 2022 solo "Lil'T" album which features collaborations with vocalists PillowTalk, Hannah Noelle, Tone Of Arc, Greg Paulus, Big $exy, Ntem, and more in his New York studio. 

His next release on Wolf + Lamb Records is part of "The Unreleased Remixes" he did for the label of The Fitness - Boy Vs. Girl and LowHeads, Naoki Serizawa - Yesterday (Coming out at the end of February 25th, 2022).

With an extensive discography under his belt including releases on Life & Death, Visionquest, Crew Love, Wolf + Lamb, Kompakt, Jive, Culprit, Leftroom Limited, Om Records, Smoke N’ Mirrors and Roam Recordings, as well as remixes for Francesca Lombardo, Groove Armada, Kasper Bjork, DJ Tennis, HNQO, Laid Back, Soul Clap, W+L, Nick Monaco, Life On Planets, Lee Curtiss, Tone Of Arc, PillowTalk, Navid Izadi, Midnight Magic, Future Generations, Set Mo, B.Bravo and Lonely Boy, there is no doubt that Michael will continue doing what he loves and is most passionate about, music.

His Background: Dr_Ice was forced into early-retirement in March, 2018 when his mixer, laptop, and favorite pair of jeans were stolen from a U-Haul in Santa Fe, New Mexico (which is otherwise a really nice town). He hadn't been actively mixing music for about 2 years (and was in the process of moving back home to Texas after living in California) when this event took place, so the Dr_ took it as a sign that the proper time had come to exit the Ice Age and pursue other musical interests, namely the acoustic guitar. 

On Soundcloud: While Dr_Ice definitely continues to seek out new music on Soundcloud, since he's no longer posting new material, he can't justify paying Soundcloud's fee into perpetuity simply to host his old mixes, especially when there's a solid, free alternative for folks like him (Mixcloud). That being said, he will be forever grateful to Soundcloud for opening a much wider world of electronic music than he would have known otherwise. Music found on this site has been down right motivational, inspirational, even transformational. Many of the Dr_'s recent travels, and lots of his best friendships and memories, trace moments right back to this site. Thank you for that, Soundcloud.
