2002-2022, that’s 20 years of Pingipung! HHV Records from Berlin made an interview with me for a nice feature on their blog and asked me for a selection of Pingipung tracks as well. ⁣Frinda di Lanco & Hendrik Stein from Berlin are pushing airwaves together since 2018. A DJ duo with a deep love for obscure vinyl records and a wild and vibrant mixture ranging from AOR, cosmic, italo, library and disco that never fails to surprise us with the unexpected. Together the couple is spreading joy on dance floors all over Europe. With 'Avec Plaisir' the two founded their own label imprint and re-released an enchanting collection of Austrian Cosmic tracks from the ’90s. We hope you enjoy this wonderful selection as much as we do.


Frinda & Hendrik on their mix : “After listening to the recording from lovely RIAA Bar in September, we decided to go for exactly the same vibe – since that night was special in many ways. It only happened because our gig at Pudel got cancelled due to a double-booking but we had our train tickets already. So instead of bringing a selection of Italian Disco and dance music to Hamburg, we focussed on those records which we usually play to close friends in a home-listening context and that have a certain place in our hearts. At this night we also met Andrea who was enjoying our selection a lot and asked us if we’d like to record this mix you’re just about to listen.“ 💫

This month we welcome Ada from our hometown Hamburg to our mix series. Ada already captured our hearts over 20 years ago with her house anthems on Areal Records. Since then she released an album and a single on Pampa. 

Pingipung's very own Andi Otto is part of the Alien Orchestra that supports Ada during her recent shows. You can catch them live on the 12th October in the Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg. Ada and Andi also DJ together on the 6th July at Jupiter, also in Hamburg.

@Mattmosphere and Love Foundation that is a love affair that has been going on for a while. It all started with a romantic weekend in Vienna beginning 2018, sparks were flying and a second weekend getaway was planned together. This time outside and in the slightly smaller mountains of the Netherlands, in Limburg.

After that it was clear that both parties are ready for the next step and a fusion of the @drosssel and Love Foundation family with a 48 hour rave weekend in Mensch Meier in Berlin, was the logical conclusion in summer 2019.

Now we are limited to online dating, but Matt knows how to play that game as well and the set that he recorded for us, hits us right in the heart. Be ready for an hour full of emotions and a special kind of journey that only Matt knows how to take you on. 

We love you Matt and we look already forward to the next gathering in real life together.
