Crossfade Sounds revisits Closing Cycles by Belgian duo Madloch & Subnode, inviting three distinctive artists to reimagine the track for a new EP. Originally featured in March 2025 as part of the label's first-ever physical release, the Tape From The Dub cassette compilation, the original stood out for its atmospheric depth and subtle melodic movement, reflecting the duo's inventive approach to electronic storytelling.

Now the piece returns in three unique reinterpretations from an international cast. Rheinkalk from Germany takes the track into deep experimental electronica, exploring texture and space in an abstract yet spellbinding way. Avid Sequence from Malta offers a fresh drum & bass perspective, injecting rhythm and fluid energy while keeping the emotional core intact. Closing the package, Deepdrome from South Korea crafts a finely tuned dub techno version, balancing hypnotic groove with warm, immersive sonics.

With these new remixes, Closing Cycles expands beyond its original form, bringing fresh dimensions to a work that has already become a special part of the Crossfade Sounds catalogue.

Ezra Collins (@ezracollins005) presents Dream OF The Sun EP — four originals and five remixes woven into a single sonic canvas. Rivers of time flow through concrete and glass, reflecting a sky that still remembers the hum of old synths and the first breath of analog noise. In Zurich, sound and architecture live in the same rhythm. Rick Fox (@dj_rick_fox) returns to [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] with his second release — calm, precise, and deliberate. Part of the Story is a new collection from the Swiss maestro, composed in those rare moments when the city falls silent and only the movement of its spirit can be heard — where every loop of echo seems to know its own name.

Let’s start with the originals.
::: Part of the Story sounds like an inner monologue whispered through delay. A straight line, steady pulse, clean structure — everything is in its place. A story no one remembers, yet everyone feels.
::: Izpi brings light — a narrow beam in an evening window. There’s motion upward, but without haste, toward the space where sound stops being material.
::: Funny Cats — a short smile within space, a warm note that breaks symmetry. It brings unexpected softness — a moment of irony in a world of exact rhythms and dense textures.

There’s a dizzying power in these rapids: Manzherok is not just a place — it’s an experience, where the thunder of water suddenly becomes music. Manzherok Rapids are where the river turns into pure force. The water races through the cliffs, shattering on stones, swirling into whirlpools, bursting into foam, and carrying with it the breath of Altai. Dark fir slopes rise along the banks, mountains reflect in the water, and the roar of the rapids can be heard for miles. Here, nature gathers everything at once — strength, beauty, and eternal motion.
