Detroit-based record label Infolines gear up to release a 4-track various artist compilation ‘The Works‘...Our pick from the EP is ‘Playground‘ by Shaun Reeves. Entering a dazed-out state of consciousness, the Berlin-based producer unfolds a 7-minute midnight waltz of minimal house enhanced with elevating kick-drums, bouncing basslines, synthesised signals and liquified cherubs murmuring beneath a liquid haze.

The black and white hoverbike flew out of the fog at breakneck speed and raced through the neon-lit urban jungle of the Havan metropolis. It manoeuvred steadily between the skyscrapers, trying to throw off the tail of the corporal's convoy, which was getting closer by the moment, preventing it from sneaking away with the seemingly easy-to-get Zero-G prototype. This weapon could create an anti-gravity field with a single shot and disable even the largest battle cruiser. That's why an elite squad of cyber-soldiers equipped with modified implants and gadgets was sent in pursuit not to allow them to ease off for a second.

With a sharp steering wheel jerk, Spacelunch turned off the main street and into a narrow alley. "Your turn!" – He shouted insistently over the engine's roar. Cat rose from the back seat, took aim, and deftly fired his blaster. In a pall of sparks and smoke, the pursuer's hoverbike spun out of control and crashed into the building. Gritting their teeth, the friends raced through the winding maze of obstacles and tight turns. All senses were heightened with excitement. They could see a gap ahead and a way out into the slums.

Suddenly, a heavily armed police drone blocked the road, aiming its red gun lights at them. Spacelunch decisively grabbed Cat and jumped into the so-fortunately spotted sewer manhole, barely managing to dodge the gunfire barrage. After landing in a pitch-dark narrow tunnel, they moved on, with every step feeling the growing tension in the air and realizing that they could be found out at any moment. The darkness seemed endless. The only consolation was that they had the prototype in their hands, and now all they had to do was get to the spaceship and get off this freaking planet.

"Jökull (Talandi ís) EP" invites the listener on a fascinating journey through the land of ice and fire — Iceland. You will visit magnificent glaciers like Vatnajökull, Langjökull, Hofsjökull, and Myrdalsjökull. In Icelandic, "Jökull" means "glacier," and "Talandi ís" means "talking ice." If you listen closely to the four tracks on this album, you can hear the pulsating sound of the glaciers, as if they are speaking to you, trying to explain that they are slowly dying. Their impressive beauty is melting away over time, and this album is a message about the need to raise awareness of global warming and preserve the unique beauty of our glaciers for future generations. It is an audio message addressed to humanity.

These compositions are filled with deep atmospheres and melodies that convey the beauty and tragedy of Icelandic glaciers. The vocal elements of the album include an Icelandic poem that enhances the mystical atmosphere and conveys the voice of nature:

The received coordinates indicated that the clue was deep in a dangerous ravine.
— Doc, this is not good! Why is it so quiet? — Cat asked, looking around warily.
— Pull yourself together and be ready for anything! — Spacelunch tried to keep his cool despite the growing anxiety.

Cautiously, they finally reached their destination and saw a grim sight: on the ground, among ancient stones and half-erased ruins, rested the skeleton of a huge dragon with a glass dodecahedron clutched in its paw. A dim light shone through the thick tree crowns, creating ominous shadows dancing around it. Nomad, sensing the tension of the moment, slowly reached out and gently took the artefact. Its surface was cold and smooth, covered in strange, barely visible symbols.
— We did it! — the victorious voice echoed off the walls, filling the space with a sense of triumph.

But then something strange happened. A bright glow flashed around Nomad. Before anyone could react, he was pulled into a portal that appeared out of nowhere.
— Nomad! — Cat shouted, rushing toward the vanishing point.
— Don't waste time! To understand what’s happened, we will need to get back to the ship and analyse the portal trail!
