More fresh talent debuts on Watergate Records to continue a strong 2024, as we welcome Moullinex △ GPU Panic to the fold.
 
Created in 2023, Lisbon-based duo Moullinex △ GPU Panic are producers, DJs, and live performers, who've been dropping several strong releases on their co-headed label Discotexas last summer and are anticipating a slot at Sonar Lisbon. But more than that, the pair craft divine vocal-laden cuts that float the delicious divide between electronica, indie dance, and house. 
 
Their debut on Watergate Records is as sumptuous as we’d hoped. The title track is an exultant journey, as sun-dappled beats, uplifting chords, and GPU’s transcendent vocals fill the air. ‘Ar’ is equally glorious, made for the incoming outdoor party season or a weepy dancefloor occasion, it hits deep with sweeping synth layers and delicate rolling beats that gradually build in intensity throughout the grand nine-minute jam. It's uplifting in every way.

Set in dreamlike state, Black Moon's airy chords and melancholic feel complement Dubnosis with it's blissful Rhodes piano and a whole lot of Babiczstyle special sauce, perfect for deep introspective sessions but also equally at home in the early hours of club-land, set against the grit and power of Galactic, a rolling cosmic Asimovian dystopia.

[PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] proudly presents fresh, 34th release from Greek musician Substak - Patterns EP. In the depths of the Athens electronic scene, where ancient rhythms meet modern sounds, musician Substak (@substak) opens a new page in the history of dub techno. His latest release, "Patterns EP", is a collection of three original tracks that take the listener on a journey through the meditative depths of the genre. This album is not just a piece of music; it's a mosaic of sounds that reflects Substak's unique style. Each track is a separate pattern, composed of carefully selected sounds and textures, creating a rich audiovisual palette.

An equally significant part of the "Patterns EP" are six remixes from famous artists in the dub techno genre. Hidden Encampment (@masayuki-takahashi-4), Amaral Borges (@amaral-borges), BLOMAQ (@blomaq), George Kostopoulos (@george_kostopoulos), RE.vila (@re_vila) and Oldschool_Dubtechno .Producer (@enercube and @x_fr) contribute their unique interpretations, adding new dimensions and contrasts to the album.

Substak's "Patterns EP" is not just a new release from [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB], it is a statement about the enduring value of deep sound and its ability to bring people together. This mini-album is an invitation to plunge into a world where every beat and every rhythm has its own meaning.

This album is also dedicated to the memory of recently deceased musician Shebuzzz, whose contribution to electronic music will remain unforgettable.

To understand the development of electronic music in Spain, one of the names that can come to your mind is Sergio Parrado, with 21 years of experience he has become a classic inside this ambience living between Spain and Mexico.

He started his career in the mythical club “Camarote” in the late of 1990’s and this allowed him to enter in the competitive Spanish market. In 2000 he opened his own club named “Conga” with tech-house beats and he has the opportunity to invite artists like Dylan Drazen , Steve Bicknell , Hector Sandoval (Exium),Dani Casarano. . . In there he would initiate a labour relationship that made him travel to Chile, where he would change his whole vision and start working with more organic sounds, it was born the “micro-house”.

Currently he is writing for DJ MAG SPAIN (“Focus On” and “Around the World”) where he talks about labels, their music and the artists that have been there.

As DJ he has travelled many countries and clubs as Germany , France, Switzerland ,Belgium, Italy , Spain, Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Usa, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Guatemala, Brazil, Mexico, … among other places.

As a producer we can mention him in labels like Bedrock, Lapsus, Trapez, Kinetika, Brise . . .and beside that he manage his own label (My Little Dog) for almost a decade.

We highlight the connection he was with his audience, the exquisite selection and the technique to always transmit positivity and good energy on the dancefloor.
