it’s a common story. a brilliant artist grows up in a home full of art and artists. inspiration and exposure to the arts creates a brilliant artistic anomaly. not so for the Drifter. artistic exploration was suppressed under the guise of protection from satan. this only drove the drifter to desire what satan had. sure, the secular sounds of the day were forbidden, but the sounds of the past, secular or not, were fair play. and play he did. though he was a relative latecomer to the modern world of music, by the time he arrived his musical background was deep and diverse. 

and maybe it was due to this musical suppression, or maybe it was something more karmic, but whatever sounds he heard he had to share. and share he did. when the Drifter was 12 he spent the summer working in a peach orchard with immigrant farmers. this was the late 80’s and while most kids his age were listening to Bon Jovi, Guns ‘n Roses and Madonna, the drifter’s favorite album was the soundtrack to La Bamba. prompted by his need to share what music he did get his peach pickin hands on, he took his La Bamba record, dubbed it to tape and took it with his boombox to the peach orchard. that day the peach orchard never rocked so hard as his fellow mexicans demanded he rewind and re-play La Bamba. all. day. long.

though technology and music have changed dramatically in the many years since the La Bamba Peach Disco, the Drifter does pretty much the same thing today. taking much pride in his ability to dig up timeless sounds of the last 100 years, while at the same time, being on the bleeding edge of EDM (though he secretly hates the term EDM). 

and a Drifter mix? there’s a reason he’s held weekly residencies (3 or 4 a week at points) for the last 20 years straight. he’s also opened for everyone from Kaskade, DJ Heather, Christopher Lawrence, J Boogie and Colette to old skoolers like DJ Buck, John Howard and Chris Lum to most recently warming the decks up for 2011 DMC World Champ DJ Vajra (Chris Karns). 

today the drifter can be found playing various b-girl/b-boy cyphers and competitions around Northern Colorado, and First Fridays at Blue Door, in downtown (oldtown) Fort Collins, Colorado, where you can find him droppin the smoothest mixes this side of a fried egg.

BadboE is a truecore musichead born in Denmark in 1980. Located in the northern part of Denmark, where the weather always suxx, which gives BadboE a good excuse to sit in his music lab throwing pumpin' beats at his 18" bass sound system all day long. BadboE�s primary music inspirations come from the oldskool funk productions from the late 60s and the 70s. Like many other breakbeat artists, this musical legacy is where BadboE dig in to bring new life by cutting and mixing the pieces into new danceable songs. The specialty has become sophisticated mixing of old funk samples with 80s rap vocals and hooks. BadboE started out making music in the mid 90s - doing mainly euro hardcore techno, but soon found out that his real passion and fascination was for breaks and bigbeats. After trying out just about everything in the electronic music genre from - house, trance, club, happy hardcore to drum&bass, triphop and Breakbeat the conclusion was that funky breakbeat is what he does best. So now BadboE pretty much combined it all into one with an emphasis on breaks, which has become the BadboE-style. 

In 2006 BadboE formed his own digital recordlabel together with his fellow musician Wiccatron called Breakbeat Paradise Recordings (BBP Recordings). The goal with the label was to ensure faster access to the market as well as open doors for some of the great artists that are doing funky breaks. Since then the nu funk scene has come to live and the BBP label is set to be one of the digital leaders in this genre. 

BadboE has been keeping busy releasing his unique flavour of b-boy funk and uptempo partyfunk on his own label and on various other labels. After releasing a few vinyl records in 2007 - the debut EP: "Loose Your Funky Self" and a remix by Break The Box called "Walk out Laughing" the successful EP "Dynamite/Nothing But the Funk" was released in Oct 2008 with remixes from All Good Funk Alliance! This was followed by the successful 4-track Good Groove 11 vinyl that managed to stay at the no. 1 spot on the breakbeat chart for several months. A lot or remixes has been coming out on various labels and they have all contributed to settling BadboE�s name in the funky breakbeat scene. In 2008 BadboE got active as a live DJ playing at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark and at the electronic Boom festival in Portugal as well as other local gigs. 

BadboE's music is going in 2 directions - the first is making funky breaks and trippy lounge breaks without using uncleared samples (material to release commercially) and the other is for the scene mixing, breaking and bootlegin' with the oldskool funk tunes. In the upcoming years BadboE will focus on getting his music out there with a full length album coming out in 2009 as well as touring the world with his funky partyrocking DJsets. Stay tuned...

In today’s electronic music world there are not many artists who can lay claim to a legacy like that of DJ T. Born in Dusseldorf, DJ T. (aka Thomas Koch,) re-located to Frankfurt with his family in the late 70s. During his formative years, he fell for the hypnotic grooves of disco, inspired by his parents’ record collec-tion. At the age of nine he was already completely enraptured by music and that love affair continues until this very day. He began an obsessive quest to collect music, feeding his soul with everything from Disco and Hi-Nrg, through to early Hip-Hop and Electro, Soul, Funk and R’n’B. The groovy, infectious rhythms of all those genres continue to permeate into the music he makes and plays today, providing an intrinsic part of his sound ethic. 
He took up breakdancing, before becoming a DJ, playing at private parties ini-tially before landing his first professional gigs in the late eighties. This period proved to be a pivotal moment in his life as Acid House swept through Europe, landing in Frankfurt and taking over with the launch of Sven Väth’s legendary Omen club in 1988. The first wave of House and Techno took hold and T. was there at the forefront, absorbing all the fresh new sounds from Chicago, Detroit and the UK. He picked up a residency at the infamous Music Hall and held resi-dencies at countless clubs across the city during the next 10 years from Plastik and Dorian Gray to The Box. By the end of the nineties, he was one of Frank-furt’s best-known selectors. 
In 1989 DJ T. tapped into another side of his creative energy to set up Groove Magazine. Identifying a gap in the market and fuelled by a need to satisfy his own desire for specialised music journalism, which focused on his interests – namely underground dance music. Under his leadership the magazine was launched into the public’s consciousness and he guided Groove to become one of Europe’s premier dance music publications, which it still is today. 
DJ T.’s progression continued at a pace, as he launched his own club, Monza, using the experience gained through a decade of club events and tours under the Groove Magazine banner. He also invested his skills and knowledge into con-ceiving Get Physical – a label, which remains one of the world’s best- known House and Techno platforms. Though he left in 2010, T. still occasionally A&Rs for the label, lending his uncanny ability to uncover new talent to the seminal label. 
Production-wise, he has been consistent ever since his debut release, the ‘Mon-sterbaze’ EP with Steve Bug, which was released on Poker Flat in 2000. Since then, T. has released several well-received EPs, a slew of remixes and three al-bums, ‘Boogie Playground’ in 2005, ‘The Inner Jukebox’ produced with Tho-mas Schumacher in 2009 and ‘Pleasure Principle’ in 2011. His special touch has also been employed by numerous labels to curate compilation mixes , including ‘United Under The Ball – 30 Years Of Disco’ in 2011 and ‘The House That Jack Built Vol 1 & 2’ in 2012. In 2013 he celebrated 25 years of DJing with a very personal mix compilation, followed also by ‘Body Language 15’ and col-laboration with Defected and Strictly Rhythm to celebrate the latter’s 25th anni-versary. DJ T.’s reputation for being a master selector has been cemented by these superlative collections of music, each of which has received widespread praise, often featuring many of T.’s own edits of classic tracks. 
Despite so many accolades, his passion for music remains staunch, recently making several key changes to his professional life that have inspired him to explore new terrains. With hot new releases on AUS Music, Moon Harbour, True Soul and Jackathon representing his continued to desire to push his crea-tive boundaries. 
A highly-skilled DJ and producer and an A&R with an uncanny ability to dis-cover a nurture new talent, DJ T. is a master selector and one of the industry’s most influential figures.
