Here we go for a massive 100th edition of the Warning Mix series. To mark the end of our first "century", we decided to welcome back one of our absolute favourites. Back in the early days of Warning Mix '#6 we had S.O.N.S delivering a masterclass in Drum & Bass, still one of the absolute highlights on our SoundCloud. This time we got permission to share the live recording of his garden set at our Berlin party last summer, a three hour vinyl only journey into psychedelic music based on an out of this world selection and stunning mixing skills. We could actually end the series after this one - but don't worry, there will probably be a hundred more. Now turn on the volume, tune in to the music, drop out into the universe :-)

Warning #100 S.O.N.S

Another musical connection formed on a dance floor (and one of many on the sandy shores of Floresta), I met Hans (@benkamal) at Waking Life last year. This mix is a lovely blend of tech house grooves, progressive, breaks and beyond - his collection coalesced into a divine interpretation of Animalia's sound.

A longstanding member of the Brussels scene, Hans is a dedicated & eclectic digger with a penchant for subtle grooves. Kamal explores house and techno's deepest cuts - each track deliberately chosen to lure the audience further into a hazy trip.

Legendary Italian DJ and producer Miki joins me for episode 286 of Passing Notes. DJ Miki has been making and playing electronic since the late 70s. His outputs as an artist span many genres including ambient house, techno, trance, and progressive releases across multiple monikers (aka Miki The Dolphic & Major Hypnotic Key Institute), which have found homes at notable labels such as Interactive Test, Dbx, Seekers, Spazio Tempo, Kalahari Oyster Cult and more.

Many of Miki’s records are extremely sought after on Discogs, his releases continue to be reissued and re-released and tracks produced, especially in the 90s are still played and revered today. It’s clear that Miki’s work in creating psychedelic sound experiences has had a profound impact on many musical worlds, and is still influencing music today. I caught up with Miki to ask him about his long standing career in music, how his relationship with music has changed over the years and what it’s like to be asked to tour down under for the first time.
