Aaliyah x Rihanna - Work The Boat (Amorphous Mash-Up)

After listening to Meghan Trainor & John Legend's duet in "Like I'm Gonna Lose You," the music and melody of that song influenced me to do a ballad with a little more soul.

Written by myself, the song is about a man longing for the woman of his life and how she is the only thing that can genuinely make him "happy." Counteracted by music that doesn't necessarily sound sad, "Happy" is meant to nourish the idea that heartbreak isn't forever, although it may seem that way at times.

Amindi, Tessellated & Valleyz – Pine & Ginger [Remix] (feat. Popcaan & Kranium)

Born and raised in Iuka, MS, I am an aspiring R&B artist doing what I love to do! I write my music pulling from personal experiences and experiences of close friends and loved ones. 

I began singing at 3 years old and was musically nurtured by people who believed in my talents and wanted to see me grow. I began piano lessons at 6 years old and eventually became the full time musician and co-choir director at my church for 6 years alongside my mother, and then 6 more years on and off while in college. 

I joined band at 12 years old and continued playing French horn until 24. During that time, I toured the state of Mississippi for various honor bands, camps, and performances where I received numerous awards for my talents on French horn and being Drum Major. Eventually, I received 1st chair Horn player at the 2012 MS All-State Honor Band, 2nd chair Horn player in the 2018 MS State University Wind Ensemble, and multiple Most Outstanding Drum Major awards. 

I began musical production at 16 years old in my bedroom with nothing but a desire to create my own music. It was then and there that I discovered I had an ear for arranging, producing, and engineering songs. While I have no degree or certification in music production, what you hear is raw and honest to my musical background and love for art. 

I grew up on 90s/00s R&B & Gospel with special influence from singers like Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, and Usher to name a few. It’s my goal that my music brings you joy and that you can relate to the stories I’m trying to tell. I’m not in it to get rich—I’m in it to inspire others to follow their passions.
