Praxis Axis

LHC Remix:  "System Exit"

I put this together very quickly as demo of my music for Game producers.  The tune is inspired by an imaginary game along these lines:  

A little robot goes on adventures.  He is powered by fusion and steam.  The setting is an alternative 20th Century, where the apocalypse occurred around about World War I.  Technology has progressed differently, with no iphones and PCs, but electro-mechanical self-aware analogue computers instead.  The little robot has to solve puzzles, avoid traps and thwart giant ironclad enemies of various sorts.

This is an experiment – just a preview here though. Hopefully it’ll turn into a whole collection of pieces like this for solo acoustic instruments electronically manipulated.  I’d also love to do bassoon, flute and double bass, amongst others.
In this one I’m collaborating with the lovely Flora Wong, who really didn’t get a lot to go on when she turned up to the studio – I prepared her part the night before.  Luckily she has a beautiful tone (which I’m partly wrecking).
Anyway if you play flute or bassoon or some other acoustic instrument that you’d like to have electonificafied get in contact with me very soon (wanna get this done within a few months).
