This could be my favourite recorded set.  I've definately recorded heavier soundsystem flexers but this is more of my love letter to Disco and its progression into house.  This is the first 2.5 ish hours of a 3 hour club set- the "after party" for a Tight Hair live disco set.  When i saw the dance floor tight hair had I knew the crowd was up for it, they had the place packed and grooving.  Playing after a live disco band opened the door for me to play almost 2 hours of my favourite disco edits and proto house, before it was obvious the crowd wanted more- so I bumped it up to a housier vibe before tearing into some garage- which is where this mix ends.  I'm unbelievably grateful to the crowd who was with me the whole time in a tight, intimate environment, great sound and tons of friends.  This one is special to me.  Hope you enjoy!

A rōnin who’s traded swords for turntables, Ian’s been a veteran of the U.K. music scene since 1989. There’s nothing ancient about Primitive’s sound or technique.  Pushing the DJ and rave lifestyle in the Pacific Northwest since 2000, supporting the music community by creating a slew of residencies, coordinating gigs for other DJs, promoting shows and developing the community through platforms like Party People Sound Solutions, Primitive Hustle, and PK Sound Victoria.  Strengthened through many collaborations, creating connections and culture; trailing a wake of blissed out revellers.
