Lumberjacks in Hell has been founded in 2010. Intimate Friends followed in 2013. For some people the difference or the need for distinction between these two is quite evident but to give you an idea. Lumberjacks is always 100% for the dance floor, inspired by the music from Chicago and Detroit which is not only reflected in the Artists we release. Intimate Friends is a headier affair. Soul, Hip Hop and House are all fair game. If you check the releases next to each other both labels have a distinct sound. And maybe a certain BPM range. This isn't saying that some of the music couldn't have appeared on either label but somehow it all makes sense to me. Space Cast is a not-for-profit arts initiative that aims to connect and support local artists through a synaesthetic exploration of music and art. Space Cast was established in 2020 as a digital offering of curated visual art and sound collaborations and has since evolved into a showcase of events and exhibitions.  

Space Cast has a focus on ambient, downtempo and experimental music and abstract art. The project aims to explore ideas of space and stillness, connection, slowing down and the innate connection between two these two creative fields. 

Space Cast operates to support diverse and emerging artists financially, foster a creative community and facilitate thoughtful collaboration. Each visual outcome is available to purchase online as a limited edition print, with the profits going directly back to the artists.

Space Cast acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which we create, the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation and we pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.
