Hours before being killed in an airstrike, a Palestinian journalist describes Israel’s resumption of its scorched earth campaign in Beit Hanoun. To complement the imperialist media’s policy of refusing to cover (and/or deliberately misrepresenting) the many horrific acts that have characterised Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza, the zionist state has enforced a policy of keeping foreign journalists out and killing as many local ones as possible (often along with their families). By these vicious methods the genocidaires have done their best to stifle the flow of information from Gaza to the wider world. Ultimately, they have failed, but the blood price paid by Palestinian media workers has been immense.

As the forces of reproduction develop quantitatively, the relations in production transform qualitatively, just as applying heat to water eventually turns it to gas. AI is merely a developmental flag-post in the inevitably developing forces of reproduction and as it approach the bubble burst, we will be thrown into another capitalist crisis. The only way in which we move forward is socialism. AI must be used to help the mass of workers, not to enrich the few.
