Im flüssigen Lichteines Nachmittags cruisen wir mit wummerndem Offbeat-Motor durch eine mediterran oder vielleichtauch südamerikanisch anmutende Landschaft. Auf einem staubigen Schild am Straßenrand stehtEsperanza. Im warmen Fahrtwind weht uns der Geruch von Freiheit, Möglichkeit und Lebensfreudeentgegen. Wir schalten einen Gang hoch und rauschen über den Horizont hinweg, hinein in dieHochebene vonDistancia. Mit dem Funkeln der ersten Sterne kommen wir zwischen bunten Lichtern,Girlanden und den freundlichen Gesichtern einer Fiesta an.

Pophop and Seba Campos present the music for a road movie that has not been shot yet, but lis-ten-ing to these two tracks makes us protagonists anyway. The powerful drone of the offbeat enginesends us cruising through the liquid light of an afternoon in a mediterranean, or maybe Latin Americanlandscape. A dusty sign at the shoulder of the street readsEsperanza. The warm headwind carries thepromise of freedom, possibility and high spirits. We shift up a gear and roar beyond the horizon, ontothe high plain ofDistancia. When the first stars begin to twinkle in the cloudless sky we arrive betweenthe lights, ribbons and the friendly faces of a fiesta that is just about to get started.

(Story continued from Witchtape #51)
After a deep, blissful sleep, the little witch woke up just before sunrise.  She quickly realized the little fluffy thing she was holding tenderly in her arms, was actually a lion cub and when looking around, she saw a lioness watching the two of them with endearment … clearly the cub’s mom.  Slowly it dawned to the girl that she had been sleeping in the middle of a circle of lions … easily the best possible protection in the savanna.  Despite being far away from her home forest in North-Western Europe, the little witch felt absolutely at ease.
Soon time had come to say goodbye to the friendly pride of lions and continue to fly into South/South-Eastern direction.  The girl flew over a wide variation of breathtaking landscapes, while the savanna gave way to forests and lakes and marshlands.  At one point, she saw several columns of black smoke rising up from the edge of a forest.  When she came closer, she realized the fires had been lit by humans in a deliberate effort to destroy the forest.  The little witch burst into tears at the sight of this senseless destruction.  Yet she followed her inner compass and continued to fly southwards, over a vast lush green forest.  The European girl had never seen such an immense forest, which was way bigger than all the forests of her homeland combined.  It was lush and green and full of majestic trees.  After flying over this rainforest for nearly one hour, the witch felt how her heart started to throb faster as her inner compass indicated that she was nearing her destination…

SCARECROW in 3D - Listen only with HEADPHONES, as this is a binaural mix - it won't sound as intended on normal speakers. 
During covid I teamed up with Polygon (immersive 3D sound stage at WonderFruit Festival Thailand) and started working on the idea of translating their vision of the live 3D sound we’ve done previously, into an binaural headphone mix for the individual listener. 

This is our first attempt with immersive sound for headphones and I feel that there is a lot more potential to explore. We chose an old track for this first one, but have another track in the pipeline specifically made for this, if there is an interest for it.
