Hailing from Melbourne, Ripplefactor had been experimenting with different styles and genres which finally led him to what he was looking for - a style of sound that is an intricate dance of repetitive aural flow and subtle changes. His inclination towards Deep Techno and ambient soundscapes has completely captivated his style and identity. He is known for his ability to play thematic sets with soundscapes sending the audience on a journey.

In this mix he takes us through a journey quickly ascending into a colossal mix crafted with works from artists like Surt, JC Laurent, Lewis Fautzi, Cristian Varela, Tensal, Amotik and Anthony Linell. fütwerk have made their mark in Melbourne’s dance music scene not only from their impeccable DJ skills and crowd engagement, but also from their involvement in running their own parties under EQUINOX events and :affinity. 
Displaying their personalities through their music is one of fütwerks noticeable features when it comes to performances, known for bringing high energy levels to a crowd with hypnotic and pulsating rhythms combined with a deep spiritual and often organic essence. 
Playing a big role in the movement of the Deep techno genre in Melbourne, fütwerk look to expand the scene as they direct their knowledge and talents into the producing world as well as having toured and supported international artists Deepbass, Etapp Kyle and Matrixmann, and performed at  Rainbow Serpent, Burning Seed and Wildwood.

Since the inception of our podcast we have been bringing you journeys crafted by artists who resonate with our love and passion for a certain flavour of soundscapes. Today as we celebrate 1st anniversary of our podcast, we are elated to embark on a higher note by gifting you with a mix from a duo who have been the flag bearers of the sounds we have all come to love.

Tom Szabo & Brayden Warburton are no strangers to the scene. If you have attended any gigs they played at or even listened to one of their many mixes, you’d quickly notice an immaculate level of curation. Their journeys are laid out on an aural canvas that spans across niche genres and speaks to everyone in the crowd alike. Stepping in and out of deep, hypnotic realms of techno and weaving with popping electronica, fütwerk never fail to deliver. They have supported headliners like Deepbass, Etapp Kyle, Matrixxman and are well known in the Australian music festival circuit. While the world had slowed down around us in the past couple of months, fütwerk focused on their production projects and we can’t wait to see what is in store!

This mix is a pristine display of their talent, probably the best from them yet!

With over sixteen years experience in all things Techno in Melbourne, Australia, Ranjit Nijjer has truly carved out his own unique piece of the city’s landscape as a promoter, DJ and more recently as a producer. His event Technoir has become an institution in Melbourne; an important Techno destination over its 16 year life, showcasing home made talent from across the full spectrum of Techno. Ranjit’s DJ sets are full of energy and a delicate intensity, as he expertly layers and weaves high volumes of tracks to create a truly distinctive dance floor experience for Techno fans both young and old. Whether it is deep, hypnotic, ethereal rhythms or relentless, pounding harder sounds (often tinged with his special brand of funk), Ranjit gives the dancefloor and the listener his all. This passion and care has seen Ranjit consistently booked around town for many years now, including several appearances at the acclaimed Rainbow Serpent Festival. 2020 has already seen Ranjit release his first two EPs on Australian Techno imprint Machine, with another follow up in the pipeline. More releases and remix projects are very much on the horizon as he establishes himself as a producer to watch in the future.

This week we have one of the co-founders of Proxima returning with something a little different to what you’re used to hearing from his sets.
Hvitserk has been spending his covid lockdown learning ableton and exploring the Deeper and hypnotic realms of underground techno, a genre he fell in love with during his journey to Mo:Dem festival in Croatia last year and hasn’t been able to stop listening since. 
From directing his musical energy on Deep techno this year and staying closely in touch with nature, Hvitserk has provided us with a magical organic journey that will have you flowing through the rivers of a rainforest, feeling the altering energies of the water and the life surrounding you. 
Although he may have changed it up with the genres for now, the organic and emotion filled elements you are familiar with from Hvitserk’s sets are still very much present in the way he tells a story through his music.
