En esta ocasión, nos acompañan las mentes maestras de Daniel Lofredo (Quixosis) y Joaquín Cornejo con un mix grabado en vivo, sin editar.

"un sonido envolvente y desorientado. Melancólico y trascendental, evita narrativas y en vez crea “situaciones de tiempo”, un evento en vez de un producto. Que cada tema sea un lugar habitable, más que una idea o una historia. Que cada tema fuera un organismo vivo, palpitante. Que se sienta el proceso de su creación al desenvolverse. Microscopic Cookbook is the first album I have ever put out as "Gama." it was published in 2017 by the Osaka collective CHILLMOUNTAIN (♥), which distributed the Cassette in Japan. MC is a piece of music that could've been a movie but turned out to be an abstract radio drama. The 8-track tape tells us a semi-continuous Carrollian story with detailed, microscopic sounds. At the time, my addiction was collecting recordings and making these loose "ASMR" beats; that's how the album got its name.

For the 5th anniversary edition, I've added two tracks that were left out from the original tape, plus new, clearer mixes to give a new life to this record. This version is a modest, intimate celebration, a way to get to know each other better. While I work on new music, perhaps these tracks can show both of us some perspective of now & then.

So fasten your headphones! We are about to dive into a rabbit hole.

Taken from the two sonic explorers’ jam sessions in Berlin, these four tracks delve into subaquatic machinery and synaptic oscillations. Intuitive, time-distorting, mind melting improvisations recorded between 2019 and 2020 in Matthias Kanik's (GATS) studio.

For the first time, these soundwaves have been translated into the physical world in the shape of a limited Cassette (K7) pressing, inaugurating the Curuba Tapes series.

The release also features remixes showcasing the label’s diverse and
adventurous sonic palette : equatorian duo Zoroxxe (Joaquin Cornejo & Quixosis) deconstructs Cristal Sirens’ rhythmical intricacies with an abstract footwork reinterpretation, while Curuba co-founder Ditti twists Steppe into a sensible, playfully psychedelic ketapop version. Label heads Psycho Tropiques mash-up several elements from the EP into Cristal Echoes, a two-tempo leftfield club track inspired by dub floating ambiences & jersey club bounces. Parisian artist and label friend Machka closes the release with a beautiful, harmonically rich trip-hop version of Steppe.
