On our third-year anniversary, we are stoked to launch ‘Yellow Island Various Artists 2021’. The compilation brings new faces to the label and features artists from different countries around the world, allowing each artist to express their own essence.

This V/A showcases experimental sounds, with 20 tracks that flow through the genres of house, lo-fi, electro, IDM, breaks and jungle.

A high-quality house sound dealer for about 4 years now? You probably guessed it; we are talking about YouTube channel head honcho Di Barsotti aka Novaj 新し. He has been regularly deep-digging and serving the online community with game-changing house releases (we still cannot get out of our head the mesmerizing edit of Men I Trust's track Lauren from the Parisian trio Oden & Fatzo), showcasing fast-rising talents from all over the world with a sweet spot on raw and micro house influences. As the channel increasingly gained influenced, it slowly but logically turned as well into the eponymous label Novaj 新し Records in 2018, which has already welcomed fast-rising French artists such as Herr Krank, Vitess or Romain FX. As a true Swiss army knife, he has also had some early producer activities, releasing a few tunes on ambitious labels like Increase The Groove or Chikyu-u Records. So far, the man seems to be succeeding in everything he undertakes but we are deeply conviced that it is only the beginning!

At 20 years old, Framboisier is what we can commonly call a diamond in the rough. Discovered by Pulse Msc on the FB group "Chineurs de House" when he was 16, this young man from Le Mans impresses with his calibrated productions that already show a great maturity. Fan of Deep House with big kicks, his tracks are an ode to the groove, influenced by the 90's electronic scene and labels like Rutilance, House Puff, Shall Not Fade or Gestalt. As a former winner of Chineurs de House's "Producer Day", Framboisier is already making a name for himself and will undoubtedly be one of those to be reckoned with in the following years.
