COLD ITALLIKA PLAYLIST

You need to calm down. You’re closing your eyes and imagining yourself as a bulky man in his fifties on a commuter train. A pleasant fatigue spreading through your body, a plastic bag with the cans of «Baltika» beer rustling in your hands, another dachas passing outside the window, your thick mustache slightly tickling your lower lip. Everything seems to be good, but something is missing. You turn on the Kolb mix for 5/8: the radio and your face, and the face of a bulky man in the train, changing with a blissful smile. It’s «Fabrichnaya» station ahead as well the weekend.

Today's mix made by Kolb, a DJ from Grodno and a resident of the local bar «Сон», is a session of ambient therapy that is so needed now for all of us. It is not necessary to pretend to be a fifty-year-old man during the listening of it, but we still recommend you to try it.

Kolb - 5/8 Radio #191

Рух (Ukr. – [Rukh] – Movement) is a compilation series launched during the war in Ukraine and released by Kyiv-based label and promoter Worn Pop. All proceeds from this compilation will be donated to the ‘Musicians Defend Ukraine’ fund that helps Ukrainian artists on the frontline. 

From the beginning Worn Pop has established itself as Kyiv’s post-punk influenced formation, booking artists like Boy Harsher, Lebanon Hanover, The Soft Moon and in the same time promoting new Ukrainian acts. The label came to the party scene launching Black! Factory Festival together with Closer Club and since then has expanded its’ borders to regular club nights at Closer and other venues featuring dark and obscure dance music, inviting La Mverte, Kris Baha, Curses and more artists from similar movements. 

All the artists on this compilation built the actual character of Worn Pop by playing at our events. Now they join the very first release in a series that contains 10 tracks exclusively produced by them and thoughtfully folded into one story which can be listened from the beginning to an end as a solid album. 

Among the International names featured, there are Ukrainian acts coming, such as Geuxx, Hungry Boys, Ship Her Son and Aircraft. Their tracks here are written during the full-scale russian war against Ukraine which still goes on.

Igorelle is a music collector from St. Petersburg. Igor has been performing as a DJ for the last 14 years, at the moment he is the ideological leader of the ITALLIKA synth-disco party. At the same time, Igorelle takes part in the organization of the ASSA — party with an emphasis on electronic post-punk and minimal synth. In the last year, he launched two more series of parties. The first one is Happy Party which dedicated to rethinking acid house of the late 80s and early 90s. And the second one is ORIENTALLIKA, an oriental vibe party focused on modern oriental disco and house.
The ITALLIKA label of the same name was recently launched and released a single titled Digital Romance on July 21st.

Hiling from Saint Petersburg Sasha Balykova aka Errortica is one of the most interesting and bright representatives of female DJing scene of the game. 
DJ and Producer she recently appeared at the last Vilnus Boiler Room gathering, alongside such names as Nick Murray, V, Lauer, Manfredas and Ivan Smagghe. 
Errortica sparkles in massive line-ups and radioshows. In her hometown she's hosting radio-show, on local TESTFM, called Melomantica, inviting artists from all over the world, she's trying to erase borders and stereotypes of the music world. Working on her first live-performance and vinyl releases she will soon show her most eclectic side, keep eye on her, she's young and very talented.
