Maybe part of it is women were always interested in women but didn't know the terms so they still called themselves straight. I used to think all women had attraction to other women too, and it was a normal straight feeling because I only knew about gay or straight when I grew up. Once I found out the new words it fit better. Also true as a black woman when I was living around non-black folks I would constantly feel like I wasn't "feminine enough" or looked at as less "womanly" than other races. Never thought of how that affected my sexual orientation.

Although I haven't finished the book "All About Love" by bell hooks yet, I had to share how this book is already changing and reinforcing many of my ideas about love. I share the three things that stood out the most for me this far. This is not a video about romantic love, it is a critique of how we have been taught love, and how breaking out of White Supremacist, patriarchal, capitalist ideas will make us all better people. </p?

Emotional to do list - what are all the things keeping you from a good nights rest? List them out 
Nap! - naps are empirically supported when it comes to reducing stress. Take a short sleep break to rest and recharge. If you’re not a napper, take this time to knock out something on that emotional to do list. 
Joy activity - get outside and do one thing that brings you joy. 
Outline what you need to not burn out - how can i tell when i am not functioning at my best? How can i tell when work is taking over my life? How can i notice stress before it gets critical? What am I unmotivated to do? (Do I have to do it?)
Your favorite thing - end your day with one of your favorite things. Whatever it is, make space to end your mental health day with a dopamine boost!
