Quintessentials has a long history in putting out those nice little (or sometimes big…) compilations. It was “deep, raw and real”. Then “thank you freaks”. After that “gentlemen cuts”. Now it’s “enjoy your cuppa”! Vol. 1 starts with 4 new and refreshing faces on Quintessentials. Marc Bianco is for sure no newcomer, as he’s a part of the famous Moonrise Hill Material crew with Folamour and other top french producers. “Wet Scott” is a smooth yet freaky tune with tight beats in a best MB manner. 
For german Effgee, “feels like ding” is his first track ever released. Happy lad! And we’re sure it won’t be the last. Italian air man Wearing Shoes is quite new to the scene, but has a quite impressive list of releases already. For Quintessentials, he teams up with…well yeah, Javonntte (check his two Quintessentials releases, 59 and 61). Proper house music guaranteed! Last but not least, Roy Vision (another french artist who just released on Roots for Bloom) goes deep and dusty, with lovely Rhodes and snares! We hope you enjoy your cuppa!

Finlay Jamieson (aka FJ) is a Musician, Producer and DJ quickly becoming a household name in Glasgow, developing a unique multi genre sound. After moving to Glasgow in 2013 he’s come a long way starting as a musician and producer then honed in both talents to become a DJ. 
FJ has established himself as a resident for ‘Breathe’ djing in some of Glasgow/Edinburghs top clubs; La Cheetah Club, Stereo, Broadcast, Nicen’Sleazys, Room2, The Berkeley Suite, Cabaret Voltaire and many more. Finlay has released tracks on Tea Party Records, Prescribed Records and Bedroom Traxx. Finlay has also featured on lineups in London. He has promising projects for 2025 including plans to release a new Originals EP and some exciting and dynamic edits, Finlay is one to watch this year !

quintessentials stands for essential deep and raw house music. quintessentials tracks are raw, but they have soul. it’s what we all loved about those old house records: raw yet soulful music. quintessentials will help to keep underground house music on the map.

Thermal is a vinyl lover. Born and raised in Hamburg he learned in the very early years that there is more music to find than what you hear on the radio! His sets showcase the best records he can find, from Jazz to Hip Hop, Disco and Funk to Afrobeat, and then getting into House and  even Deep-House-Acid vibes. At his core, Thermal is deeply in love with disco and soul vibes.

For the last two years he has been producing his own music with his best friend. The  first two EP's on @berlinbasscollective and @HouseCookinRecords came out 2018. In 2019 his third EP came out on Heat Up Music. His production is filled with warm sounds, experimental and classic rythm's. Some raw samples or own created sounds give the productions a private touch.
