Logia Records continues to stomp on the scene and it is already the 6th release of this great label from Argentina. This time it presents an Argentinean based on Barcelona, a very unique young artist "DELLA" (​​Juan Francisco Ponte Della Giustina), and his "Modern Life" EP. Two original tracks of Rave Disco and Dark Disco "On The Phone" and “Traffic" including 5 remixes by Antic, Badwolf, Leonor, Renuna, and Stockholm Syndrome. What to say is Logia Records united a really impressive bouquet of artists that made "Modern Life" EP very strong and deep.
Today we are premiering "Traffic" remix by Melbourne-based Stockholm Syndrome. Slow and breaks version, capturing the dark landscape and the deep feeling of the track completely filled with the voices fading through space.

From the stars to the stratosphere comes a new injection of energy from veteran duo Local Suicide (@localsuicide). After many years touring the globe and consistently releasing dancefloor crushing tracks the two are launching their very own label ‘Iptamenos Discos’. To ring in the new era they are releasing a new track which was crafted in the 2020 lockdown and will set the stage for what is to come with their brand new label. 

IDI001 is an offering from the dark corners of space bringing together spooky drones and spiralling melodies that hover like an incoming force from beyond. Coming from Greek, 'Iptamenos Discos' means flying saucer. The track features an assemblage of their friends chanting this phrase in 23 different languages which adds a lush blend of vocal layers.

Hailing from Greece, Vamparela and her husband Brax Moody from Germany have gained a reputation for their eclectic works across many genres such as dark disco, new wave, indie dance, EBM & industrial to name a few. They have worked with artists such as Curses, Theus Mago, Rodion, Alejandro Paz, Kalipo, Mijo, Thomass Jackson, Skelesys & many more. 

They plan to continue along these roads of success as the label will represent music in same vain, building on their fruitful past. No doubt a rock solid label to keep your ears and eyes on in 2021 and beyond. One of the projects of the Mexican producer Luis Fernando Hernández, head of the Bonkers label, entitled LFB, comes to an end. From the distant EP "Elements" on Borderless Project three years ago, to Illegal Alien's Myths and Legends and multiple original mixes and remixes on Bonkers, LFB is ready to lower the curtain. And as each cycle has its closure, which brings new possibilities, the end of LFB comes with a celebration: one of its most representative tracks, Synesthesia, is wrapped in a beautiful Remix Package in which Mexican talents are in charge of interpreting the  original track "Synesthesia".

We present Elliot Salazar Herrera, originally from the city of León, Guanajuato, Mexico, better known as NoctLux, dj and producer focused on genres such as Indie Dance, EBM and Techno, organizer at Hedonist Collective and resident of TALLER headquarters, presents its mix Stoned Jam!!

Tulioxi is one of the new great personalities of the Italian Nu Disco Scene. He Has published at least thirtyworks, among EP's, singles and collaborations with other artists.

Tulioxi has established himself as one of the most interesting talents of the new Italian Disco Scene for thelast 10 years. His Works are well respected amid the international community of Indie Disco Artists and hisname has been circulating into the inner circle of DJs and producers from all over the world.

For the last decade, his released music shows how creative and prolific he is, keeping his productions at avery high level in terms of originality and experimentation, and his search for a personal sound isconfirmed in every new work.

He is one of the masterminds behind Cosmic Sumo Recordings and one of the developers of MEFF, theannual Modular synthesizer Exhibition Fair in Florence, tied to the brand Tiptop Audio, one of the mostpopular synth module manufacturers in Eurorack format.

" I don't think that I have to state the fact that the foundation of the song is a guitar. The most commonly used instrument in the music industry. And by far it doesn't feel overused at all. The melody of the main riff and the supporting sounds quickly reminded me of a certain artists and musicians.
This is going to sound crazy for some of you, but these are the ones that came to my mind after listening to this track:
Phil Collins, Foster the People, the Killers, Lady Gaga, and surprise surprise - Selena Gomez. I know, I'm insane!!!
Jumping straight to the themes, I can say with full confidence, it is no doubt filled with mystery, sci-fi, and a bit of an old-school detective aura.
Delighted by the Native American elements in this remix (as modest as they are), the others are expected, but the way they are scattered across the song, you can definitely classify it as a progressive tune, don't get me wrong it doesn't reach it's climax as you would expect, at the end, it goes back to where it started. 
But it doesn't necessarily mean that it's a bad thing. We're talking about dark disco. The style that has to have some emptiness at some points in the song. This is essential, especially for the endings. 
Overall, the song tends to change it's emotions, for some it can be off-putting, however, in my opinion - it is part of a charm." - Quixotical Music psychoanalyst Vidas Stanynas.

Renuna is an electronic music duo from Buenos Aires, Argentina, formed by @caliburton and @to.tix. It started as music lessons in 2017, while they found unique chemistry which led to this duo. Focused mostly on production, but also playing on underground parties, they decided to create their own label, LOGIA Records, in 2018. In 2019 they edited their first single (on Logia Records) with Ricardo Ruben and Lucare remixes. In 2020 their remixes went out on Anti-Frecuence Records, Disturbio Records, Maleante Records and Logia Records.They have also released a few free download tracks on Quixotical Records and Sexy Dinosaur from outer space.

Our pick falls on 'On A Heart Beat' which was built with hypnotic arpeggios, a hammer kick, broken drum and fat buzzing synths, this hallucinogenic hardware jam oddly blends organic and binary computer sounds to send you through an uncanny jungle covered planet ruled by strange creatures and where everyone can hear your heart beat.

"When it comes to showing off something "exotic", Poulper is the right choice for some of our more pickier listeners. Heavy use of different styles of percussion and the blend of glamorous South American spirit mixed with the subtle, but noticable use of "hidden gems" as I like to call them. The little things that makes the song, the things that you might miss the first time you take this hallucinogenic trip through the dark and tainted planes of dark disco. These elements are often regarded as non-existent, which makes this track even more arcane. And the name of the song "Yendo", rough translation would be "Here I come" or "I'm coming". For some reason, the name is as intimidating as the sounds chosen for the song. If you are a fan of a cult classics such as "Predator" 1987, the movie that still holds up to this day and has a hudge impact in our culture, you will agree that Admiral of Quixotical records somehow convinced one of the most famous aliens in Hollywood to lend his voice for this riveting track" - Quixotical Music psychoanalyst Vidas Stanynas.

Originally from Buenos Aires, the Argentinean Poulper is a producer, writer and event organizer. Co-founder of Quixotical Records, he is also a member of the Playground Records family and responsible for the Metrica and SYNTOMA parties, as well as the RARO audiovisual show with Ricardo Ruben.

He has published releases on Latido, Emerald & Doreen, Coquelicot, Quixotical, Maleante and Teqwave, as well as singles on new platforms. Michael Fortvne presenta el cuarto sencillo de su próximo álbum, “Fantoche” en colaboración con el productor discográfico Fausto Apodaca mejor conocido como Fausto, originario de Los Mochis, Sinaloa, máximo exponente de la música electrónica del norte del país.

El proceso de esta colaboración fue intuitiva e improvisada, debido al corto tiempo de estudio que tenían disponible, se tomaron desiciones al calor del momento y se logró terminar el 90% del track usando únicamente lo que tenían a la mano: un sintetizador análogo, una laptop y la receta secreta especial por excelencia. 

Este track es una oda al artista que llevan dentro y a la vida nocturna en la cual nos vemos apabullados día con día. La desvelada y las drogas caras son el timón de esta fuerte linea vocal, letras explícitas y lineas de bajo chuggy, son las encargadas de llevar la pista de baile al éxtasis y la seducción.

The Playground universe lives in permanent expansion. On this occasion we are happy to present a new saga: 'Singles'.

There are songs that are an event in themselves. Daring, rebellious, unclassifiable. Some grow better away from everything, they do not respond to pre-established identities. Others mix with remnants of previous forms and mutate to generate a new sound. Those are the songs we like. Those that need their own path to widen the boundaries of what is possible.

The first launch of the new 'singles' series is 'Mil Heridas' by the spicy Mexico based duo Ali X x Ximena. Punk attitude all over the place, electro clash reminiscences, Spanish reckless lyrics. The song you need to put the night upside down.

To keep it simple it´s just a wonderful tribute to the late grate Andrew Weatherall.
Lights On A Hill Mix is a slow wonky tune that we would enjoy on an afterparty late sunday afternoon. The Justin Robertson remix is track that you need to listen to on a proper soundsystem, it´s dubby with a sub bass that kills! Pass me that spliff please!

Shake Up Your Mind

After a slew of excellent releases on Nein and Night Noise Lithuanian up and comer Zakmina joins Roam Recordings to bring forth his Digital Burn EP. The title track is a show stopper with its smooth and driving peak time energy full of swirls, electric guitars, and gorgeous vocal chants. The second original Don't Laugh brings a more twisted dark flavor building on the theme of driving main time energy. 

The EP is backed by two superb remixes. The first is from Berlin based producer and 1/2 of Pardon Moi Freudenthal who brings a sublime otherworldly feel to the title track which could fit the mood to any a fine seance. Rounding out the EP is John Parsley who, after his Schlanke Socke EP turned heads earlier this year, returns to Roam with an fantastic psychedelic electronic version of Don't Laugh.

All four tracks come together into a well crafted and cohesive slice of electronic music to fit a variety of discerning dance floors.

As the project spearheaded by Nicholas Church and Joseph Spencer, Casino Times has been putting out quality productions for close to a decade. Following releases on Needwant, Omena and their own Casino Edits, the duo debuts on Hamburg-based record label Mireia Records. Demonstrating their cunning yet natural and flowing sound over the course of two originals, the package features remixes by Filburt, Rigopolar and Conga Fever.

Leading the string of remixes is Mireia's own Conga Fever. Taking cues from Belgian New Beat while sounding unconditionally modern at the same time, Conga Fever has crafted a bona fide festival anthem. After confidently building up tension and taking his time in the breakdown, the remix manages to release an incredible amount of energy.

Our introductory pick for 2020 is a compilation from the French studio addict “@Yuksek” who has redefined the realms of disco and synth-pop with his productions and through his imprint “Party fine”. His love for NewYork scene and French electronic music led him to collaborate with an array of iconic artists such as Moby, JD Samson, Gorillaz to name a few. 

This 5th chapter of an exclusive compilation containing unreleased tracks from new members such as Dimitri from Paris, Jean Tonique, Dombrance offers a smooth blend of Party fine’s aesthetic and euphoria. 

Our personal pick from this compilation is “The Other Day” by Getaroom! (@getaroomofficial) who joins forces with “Chloe" from C.A.R (@c_a_r), whose eclectic vocals transcends the realms of disco. This track is a statement that “Disco” is a subjective genre and it has always been difficult to see the boundaries of the movement and all the influences it has ever had or will have on the electronic scene.

PREMIERE – Getaroom! – The Other Day feat. C.A.R. (Partyfine)

The title track is an ode to the willingness and strength of Honduran people, a set of lyrics (crazy power, tastes rich, brave fght, sun's mirror) underpinned by a mischievous and heady mix of analogue wobbles and bleeps rubbing up against a slight but ever so slightly menacing drum pattern. Alejandro Veneno's remix gets out the guitars and amps to give a darker, more warped take on the original, punctuated by vocoder processed stabs, which edge their way between a sludgy bass guitar, almost without warning while the BPM slows down as the track progresses, as the synth sounds become vague and twisted. One of Electrique Music's bosses and Mexico’s most prolifc underground producers of the last decade, Mijo turns in the next remix, which turns up the bass and brings out some of the more analogue, glitchy elements of the original while working the vocal snippets to devastating efect, bringing about a more big room remodelling of the original. TYU turns up the acid with his rework, delivering a pinpoint accurate cowbell extravaganza, a sneaky synth line which almost hides beneath the vocal part until heavy bass comes in alongside an oriental sounding lead line, which ramps up the energy and forces the listener to bow down to a track which completes a series of 'violent weapons'. While the second original track, 'Filo Lacustre', sparkles, shimmers and bounces calmly like light of calm water... or a mirrorball.

We introduce you Logia Records, a newcomer underground label from Buenos Aires, Argentina. It started as a party series, then it became a collective of artists, focused not only on music but also on visual arts. For their debut release, label bosses Cali Burton and Tots come dressed as a duo: Renuna is the result of the chemistry that exists between the Argentinian artists since they met in 2018 and through which both express the intersections of their sonority – both DJing and producing –, focusing in dark basses, space sounds and powerful kicks. “QueVosQueYo” brings two essential remixes provided by Ricardo Ruben (SXDNS103) and Lucare (SXDNS175). We chose the version by the latter to review, and we can honestly say: What a bomb, ladies and gentlemen!

Hermano Lucare, whose previous “Asfalto EP” (from which we had the privilege of premiering the remix by Diaz Tech) on NUFF MUSIC was extremely well received amid the Dark Disco/Indie Dance community, explored his Starfleet Commander experience to deliver an impeccable interpretation for this beautiful debut of the promising Argentinian imprint. The pulsating bassline and the groovy synth riffs paired perfectly with the cosmic-influenced FXs and the zero-gravity-induced pads. Kudos!

PREMIERE088 // Renuna - QueVosQueYo (Lucare Remix)

We have the pleasure of premiering a track from “Recluído”, Logia Records second EP. Featuring this time Favio Inker, a skilled and promising DJ/producer from Buenos Aires, the Argentinian label delivers three strong originals with dark basslines and strong melodies and five vital remixes (three for “El Disparo” and two for “Perdido”) provided by Disco Mortale (a.k.a. Dani Monaco), Aurum Miles, Velax, Umvral and Future Hero.

The remix we chose to review was made with love by Aurum Miles, a producer, songwriter, DJ and co-founder of Quixotical Records, based in Vilnius, Lithuania. Born in the late ’80s with a Queen’s “A Kind of Magic” vinyl in his hands, he was inspired during his whole childhood by classic rock and shoegazing Brit music. Later, he discovered the world of electronic sounds by touching a JUNO-6 for the first time, which made a substantial effect on his future life. After many years of practising and playing the guitar, keyboards, drums, and everything that makes sounds, Aurum finally started producing some kind of weird electronic music, combining rock, psychedelic and electronic elements. Never settling to one style, always experimenting with compositions of different genres, his sonority varies from pink to dark, from vanilla to chocolate, or… whatever.

For his interpretation of “Perdido”, he decided to bring his psychedelic rock influences and combine them with… bleepy video-game-like FXs. A curious and unlikely combination that resulted in a stompy and upbeat interpretation, proving that you never know what to expect from Aurum Miles.

Haciéndose eco de la estética del Logia, Favio trae 3 temas originales con bases oscuras, melodías fuertes y muy buen groove para la pista.
