Logia Records continues to stomp on the scene and it is already the 6th release of this great label from Argentina. This time it presents an Argentinean based on Barcelona, a very unique young artist "DELLA" (​​Juan Francisco Ponte Della Giustina), and his "Modern Life" EP. Two original tracks of Rave Disco and Dark Disco "On The Phone" and “Traffic" including 5 remixes by Antic, Badwolf, Leonor, Renuna, and Stockholm Syndrome. What to say is Logia Records united a really impressive bouquet of artists that made "Modern Life" EP very strong and deep.
Today we are premiering "Traffic" remix by Melbourne-based Stockholm Syndrome. Slow and breaks version, capturing the dark landscape and the deep feeling of the track completely filled with the voices fading through space.

One of the projects of the Mexican producer Luis Fernando Hernández, head of the Bonkers label, entitled LFB, comes to an end. From the distant EP "Elements" on Borderless Project three years ago, to Illegal Alien's Myths and Legends and multiple original mixes and remixes on Bonkers, LFB is ready to lower the curtain. And as each cycle has its closure, which brings new possibilities, the end of LFB comes with a celebration: one of its most representative tracks, Synesthesia, is wrapped in a beautiful Remix Package in which Mexican talents are in charge of interpreting the  original track "Synesthesia".

QX PREMIERE: LFB - Synesthesia (Noctlux Remix) [Bonkers]

" I don't think that I have to state the fact that the foundation of the song is a guitar. The most commonly used instrument in the music industry. And by far it doesn't feel overused at all. The melody of the main riff and the supporting sounds quickly reminded me of a certain artists and musicians.
This is going to sound crazy for some of you, but these are the ones that came to my mind after listening to this track:
Phil Collins, Foster the People, the Killers, Lady Gaga, and surprise surprise - Selena Gomez. I know, I'm insane!!!
Jumping straight to the themes, I can say with full confidence, it is no doubt filled with mystery, sci-fi, and a bit of an old-school detective aura.
Delighted by the Native American elements in this remix (as modest as they are), the others are expected, but the way they are scattered across the song, you can definitely classify it as a progressive tune, don't get me wrong it doesn't reach it's climax as you would expect, at the end, it goes back to where it started. 
But it doesn't necessarily mean that it's a bad thing. We're talking about dark disco. The style that has to have some emptiness at some points in the song. This is essential, especially for the endings. 
Overall, the song tends to change it's emotions, for some it can be off-putting, however, in my opinion - it is part of a charm." - Quixotical Music psychoanalyst Vidas Stanynas.


Undoubtedly one of the greatest releases of the year at Logia Records is “Body Rocks”, the EP with which BTCOP lands on the growing label based in Argentina and Mexico. The Glasgow-based producer presents 3 eclectic original tracks. “On a Heartbeat” an Electro piece with psychedelic tints in slow motion, “The Dribbler” has that electric vibe, guitars that we can also feel on the track that gives the EP its name, “Body Rocks” with a Dark-Disco sound.

"When it comes to showing off something "exotic", Poulper is the right choice for some of our more pickier listeners. Heavy use of different styles of percussion and the blend of glamorous South American spirit mixed with the subtle, but noticable use of "hidden gems" as I like to call them. The little things that makes the song, the things that you might miss the first time you take this hallucinogenic trip through the dark and tainted planes of dark disco. These elements are often regarded as non-existent, which makes this track even more arcane. And the name of the song "Yendo", rough translation would be "Here I come" or "I'm coming". For some reason, the name is as intimidating as the sounds chosen for the song. If you are a fan of a cult classics such as "Predator" 1987, the movie that still holds up to this day and has a hudge impact in our culture, you will agree that Admiral of Quixotical records somehow convinced one of the most famous aliens in Hollywood to lend his voice for this riveting track" - Quixotical Music psychoanalyst Vidas Stanynas.

Poulper debuts in Espacio Cielo ( @espaciocielo ) with FANTASY EP, an eclectic album with Latin influence and indie sounds, dark and progressive, many groove cuts, without respecting linearity in several aspects. With vocals on the 3 tracks and different stories to tell.

Originally from Buenos Aires, the Argentinean Poulper is a producer, writer and event organizer. Co-founder of Quixotical Records, he is also a member of the Playground Records family and responsible for the Metrica and SYNTOMA parties, as well as the RARO audiovisual show with Ricardo Ruben.

He has published releases on Latido, Emerald & Doreen, Coquelicot, Quixotical, Maleante and Teqwave, as well as singles on new platforms. He currently resides in Mexico, where he has played in more than 10 cities and from where he has prepared new material for 2021 that will be released in Espacio Cielo, Roam recordings, New day everyday, Logia records, Bonkers records and Controlla.

Next to follow up is the title track of this EP - "Daughters of Men" and it is a direct counterpart, it supposes to act as an opposite force, a bit softer on the edges, more humble, endearing, and gracious. Perhaps, we all are a bit naive to assume, that there is a huge gap between the two of us. We all come from the same source. We all live on the same rock and we all share the same virtues and deeds. We personify one another, take something that necessarily doesn't belong to us. As well as race each other to a point of no recovery. To sum it up and make it more clear, this attempt to prove contradiction is really just a clever ruse, a cover-up, a pretty box designed to fool us, but once we open it, almost instantly an entire picture becomes more and more tangible and intimate, a commodity we've already seen before, with a bit more exclusive and explicit features such as strictness and insistence."

Releasing for the second time with us the very talented Anastasia Zems, now based in Lisbon, Portugal, brings “Shadow Theatre” a track that shows a heavy bass line, acid leads, rough vocals and a hypnotic sequence of synths .
Hailing from Madrid, part of Honest Allies the DJ, Producer and Visual artist Lebollet, delivers “Jindama” a Kraut Rock inspired track, with some guitars riffs mixed with a chubby bass line and some organic drums.

To close the VA, having the DJ, producer and live performer from Tel Aviv, Yotam Russo brings “Short on the Liquor” a gap between Indie, Disco, and Rave filled with Rock n Roll soundscapes and Punk attitude, which is the representation of his signature sound.

Founded in 2018 in Mexico, Bonkers is now based in the Old Continent, in Barcelona to be more precise. The prolific Latino imprint celebrates its fifth anniversary by bringing to life “Year V”, an eight-cut compilation featuring some of the most interesting names amid the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene: Hailing from various corners of this doomed little blue dot of ours, Nick Hanzo (SXDNS065) & Heidenreich (SXDNS142) Feat. Das Molekuel, JGR & Yahaira, Lebollet, Ledi Cannit, Kubebe, Ludviq & Mandruvá, Yotam Russo, and Anastasia Zems (SXDNS169) came up with some top-notch stuff for the celebratory VA. 

The cover art is called “Lost Garden” by Michael Rozen. His paintings focus on raising awareness to the impacts on the ecosystems provoked by the parasite species that rules the planet.

The track we were solicited to premiere brings Anastasia at her very best! “Shadow Theatre” offers the perfect balance between darkness and danceability delivered by a strength-meets-groovy formula and a pinch of acid, resulting in a sharp and vivid dance-floor-filler theme.

● 'Karen Menad' unveils the heartfelt EP 'Elektric and Circle Room.' In the depths of the pandemic chaos, Karen turned their living space into a haven of creativity, giving birth to the emotionally charged EP, which comes accompanied by two incandesced remixes, the first by the in-house artists 'Ledi Cannit & Veltran' and the second version made by the electrifying Brazilian duo 'Classic Dellas.'

Crafted within the walls of her home studio, 'Circle Room' and 'Elektric' serve as sonic reflections of the artist's mental state during the lockdown's ebb and flow. 'Circle Room,' conceived at the outset of the restrictions, and 'Elektric,' emerging as the lockdown's echoes lingered, encapsulate the artist's feelings of being 'crazy and confused.' A raw and personal expression.

Menad meticulously curated her sound in a home studio, blending the tangible beats of Roland's TR8 with the rhythmic melodies of Beringher's Crave and an array of plugins. The deliberate emphasis on drums and percussion in this EP becomes a sonic signature, setting it apart in a crowded musical landscape.

Reflecting on the reception of these tracks, Karen Menad expressed satisfaction with the lively response during a summer showcase in Sicily. The music resonated with the audience, fostering spontaneous dancing and a contagious atmosphere. The positive reception affirmed the artist's belief that they have found their authentic musical path. To continue navigating the evolving soundscape of her artistry, ‘Elektric and Circle Room’ stands as a testament to resilience, creativity, and the power of music to transcend challenging times.
