Âme strong S.A. est un groupe de pop electro français composé de Pascale Hospital et d'Andy Shafte.

Le duo a d'abord fait partie du groupe SDA qui a composé "Vous êtes un arbre" [archive] 1, sorti sur la compilation "PUR (Paris Union Recording)" diffusé en 1992 sur le label DELABEL et dont le sample est tiré d'une méthode de relaxation et d'une mélodie de Claude Bolling.


En 1993, sous le nom d'âme strong S.A., ils sortent ce qui restera leur plus gros succès "Tout est bleu" [archive]. Ce titre, clippé par Philippe Gautier, sera présent sur de nombreuses compilations (dont "Café del Mar vol.5", "Paris Is Sleeping - Respect Is Burning" et "Lazy Hours") et remixé par de nombreux DJ dont François K.

Puis sortent "Guette l'aube" (1996) [archive] et "Bout à bout" (1996), extraits de l'album "Combat des sens" [archive].

Le dernier morceau en date s'appelle "Un tout petit bout de nuit" (2005) [archive].

Pascale Hospital est également l'auteur de la plupart des morceaux de l'album "Couleurs de l'amour" du groupe Native.

Elle est décédée en janvier 2005 à l'âge de 46 ans2.

Andy Shafte, quant à lui, est un rappeur et un D.J. réputé. Son premier morceau s'intitulait "Woohlambada!" (1989) [archive]. Il a ensuite rappé sur "Différence" (1991) de KARO et c'est lui que l'on entend accompagner l'accordéon d'Yvette Horner dans le morceau "Play Yvette" (1990) !

Il a participé à l'album "Les petites notes" de Liane Foly avec Allioum Ba (ce dernier, avec André Manoukian, ayant collaboré à l'album d'âme strong S.A.) et a remixé plusieurs morceaux dont "Les yeux de ma mère" (1995) d'Arno.
