These two experienced DJs wow us with selections from the widest range of underground psytrance from progressive to mid-speed, the so-called pure psytrance. On July 26, 2023, under the Portuguese night sky, Christian Samsara performed a spellbinding three-hour set at The Gardens stage of the Boom Festival. Crafting a sonic journey that seamlessly blended Ambient, Downtempo, and Deep Techno genres, his set was characterized by its atmospheric textures, intricate rhythms, and carefully curated track selection.

It was recorded, mastered at the Ultimae studios and can now be played on Soundcloud. Enjoy !

This turned out to be a bigger project than I realised. It's a mix of the ambient parts of Ozric Tentacles' tracks. It doesn't cover all of their tracks. Their discography is just too big and some parts I couldn't get to fit with the flow. The mix starts off quite tribal but progressess into beatless ambient. Timistamping everything is too challenging as some parts overlap and fade out and back in again. The shortest sample is around 2 seconds and others are full tracks. Anyway, here's the tracklist:

“Kudi” (“Girl”) is the first release from Tigerstyle’s forthcoming new album titled “Digi-Bhang”. Tigerstyle’s new material showcases the unique direction they are taking, by making use of electronic and synthetic sounds but always fusing with Bhangra, international elements and plenty of BASS!! This track features vocals of highly acclaimed female Punjabi singer Rani Randeep and comes with a bunch of intense genre jumping remixes, pure ammunition for all dancefloors.

Tigerstyle are one of the few Asian acts to have ever recorded a live session for the legendary late Sir John Peel. They were given the opportunity to showcase material supported by a full band at the first ever BBC Electric Proms in September 2006, were selected out of 1000s of acts to perform on the first ever BBC Introducing Stage at the Glastonbury Festival in July 2007 and performed at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. Previous releases by Tigerstyle were identified as key representations of the worldwide appeal of Bhangra music and used on XBOX360 games by Microsoft. This was the first time that Bhangra tracks had been placed on any interactive game and endorsed the mainstream opinion that Bhangra had finally arrived in the ever increasing global music market. Tigerstyle have also been working alongside prominent Bollywood music directors, composing and remixing for Indian film soundtracks.
